About this listen

Let me tell the story of how I fell in love with a woman who had no idea that we were even dating. The ridiculousness started when she stole my beer, and trust me, my grumpy self doesn’t normally share. But somehow, Avery Wilson is the exception to every one of my many rules.

Unfortunately, I’m not hers.

Not only is she the daughter of the Rev’s coach who hates me, she’s also sworn off dating for the year.

Little does she know we’ve been doing just that. Sure, she says I’m her friend when we watch romcoms or spend holidays together, but I’m just biding my time until the year is up.

With her father against me, and a line of men interested in dating her, once she finds out my true intentions, will we survive the fallout?

Author Note: The Fall Out is book one of the Boston Revs Three Outs Series. It is a stand-alone baseball romcom that starts with a one-night stand with the coach's daughter. This friends-to-lovers grumpy sunshine romance will guarantee you tons of fun banter and swoony moments between the hot-headed baseball pitcher and the animal-loving heroine. Add in some laughs with the Revs team and an adorable pet puffin and it is sure to be fun for all.

Great First Listen

I kept seeing this book recommended, and I kept my fingers crossed it would come out on audio... And let me tell you that listening to this book was such a highlight for me.
This is my first read of Jenni, and she now has a fan, and I will listen to her books as they come out. Add in the baseball element, and you have me hooked!

I love a great friends to lovers story, and this one hits in on the nail with that trope. Avery and Christian become friends after a one night stand. But doesn't that make it so much sweeter. You have a connection with someone, and you hold on to it, and that is what Christian does. It doesn't matter that Avery is the coach's daughter. I loved these two together.

Connor and Rose were the perfect combo for these characters. I felt this book was done so well, and I listened to it and enjoyed everything about it.
Connor had the right amount of charisma for Christian, and Rose had the sweet voice for Avery. These two narrators do such a wonderful job with this story that you will love this book more than if you just read it.
You get to experience Christian and Avery through voice.
I am in love with this series already and I can't wait for more!

This duet narration--a whole new level of amazing!

Story Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (0-5)
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 (0-5)
Overall: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (0-5)
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (0-5) I bump up for public places/outdoor spaces.

What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 Audiobook update: Oh! My! Goodness! This duet narration is extraordinary! It is perfectly cast and fabulously performed!! I already loved these characters and their story but, wow, does the audiobook take it to a whole new level. It’s definitely in the running for my top audiobook of the year. I bawled at the “pick me.” You need this in your life!
🤩 The bar setup—fun and amazing friends.
🤩 The map of all the good places in town, in all its Sharpie drawn goodness.
🤩 I’m a sucker for a chemistry driven one night stand—so hot! “I’m not going to f- you to help you get over your ex.” “But if you come home with me, I guarantee you won’t remember his name in the morning.”
🤩 When Avery finds out Chris is Christian Damiano, the professional baseball player who plays for the Boston Revs, the team her dad coaches.
🤩 Forbidden, fun, and funny.
🤩 How Puff is totally the third MC in this beautiful story.
🤩 Christian Damiano, Dragon, is totally book boyfriend material. I love his patient love and friendship to Avery but also his sassy, sexy thoughts.
🤩 Avery Wilson is strong, smart, sweet, supportive and so very worth the wait of her year-long dating cleanse.
🤩 The characterization is fantastic! Chris and Avery are who they are—we adore them and feel so much love, longing, and lusty goodness for them.
🤩 The Christmas presents—awe!
🤩 I just love a sports romance with a PR plot
🤩 The Mom Coms character cameos. “If we see Brooks Langfield, I can’t promise I won’t fangirl all over that gorgeous man.” Same, girl, same!
🤩 It’s a slow burn that’s oh so worth it, with couch snuggles and self-love in the shower to get us by.
🤩 I cheered out loud when Chris said “Pull me.” And I bawled when Coach Daddy explained when he knew. All the feels!

What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 I’ll be ready for more Revs when their stories are ready. 🙌🏻
💫 I’m begging you to give me Daddy Wilson and Wren! 🙏🏻 Update—THEY ARE HERE & available now—see Finding Out! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Christian and Avery

This book may not be for everyone but I loved how cute it was. It was the perfect lovers to best friends and back to lovers story. It was a very slow burn for the main characters but I loved the connection they were able to obtain by becoming friends. I have read a lot of Smutty Romance but this gave it a change for once. It kept the romance slow but their storyline growing giving us a chance to meet their characteristics.

The book is about Avery and Christian. Avery is a vet at a local zoo and Christian is Boston's new Baseball Pitcher. They meet at a local bar, sparks fly and they have a one night stand. The following day Avery realizes who Christian is because her dad happens to be the coach for the baseball team. They meet again but this time they decide to become friends and get to know each other while Avery is taking some time off from dating. The story also introduces a little puff bird that becomes a favorite as their story continues through the book.

I was able to also catch the audio for this book and the Narrators did a FANTASTIC job bring Avery and Christian to life. Connor Crais is perfect to voice Chritian and Rose did fabulous by Avery. Both were perfect for the roles.

Overall, If you want a cute read that will give you the fluffs in the heart, this book is it. Do not expect much spice.

Epic Baseball Romance Book!!!

I read The Fall Out and quickly fell in love with Christian, Avery, Puff and all the REVS! I didn’t think I could love this friends to lovers, coach’s daughter romance any more than I already did but I was wrong! Listening to Connor and Avery bring these two to life was everything!

The found family aspect of this book, their banter, the growth of their friendship (after a one night stand) into so much more was done so perfectly!

Connor and Avery really brought out the emotions, the hilarity of some of the Puffin moments, and the honest friendship that they shared through a good part of this book!

If you love baseball/sports romance this is for you! There is a big portion of player, locker room and game situations all while telling a strong story of a sweet forbidden love story! Jenni Bara knocked this one out of the bark and I can’t wait for the rest of the REVs on audio!

Damiano and Avery 🩷💙

It was so freaking cute! I love it. It’s a great romance story. Best friends to lovers. Sport romance, I love sport romance stories. I love all the team characters, can’t wait for Emerson… they are all so hilarious and so different at the same time. I love how all of them are there for Chris and how they support each other. Chris and Blondie relationship is amazing, their friendship is the best you can imagine and when they finally get to the “lovers” part everything is even better. Ohh and I love how similar Chris and Coach are, can’t wait for his story too. Obviously Beckett and Cortney were there and yes, I still love them!!! Hahaha they are special. Amazing story with a perfect HEA. Excellent performance.

Sweet Golden Retriever disguised as a Doberman

The MMC was pretty great throughout the entire book except close to the end. Suddenly he’s an idiot. The FMC is so clueless and unaware it gets annoying. He makes several grand (life changing wonderful) gestures and she’s still not convinced he has feelings for her. Was waiting for brick house to fall on her head. And the female narrators laugh was so cringe and forced it irked me like nails on a chalkboard. Overall a nice fun read but could have been about 2 hours shorter if MMC AND FMC simply talked

What a great intro to a new-to-me author and one of the narrators! I absolutely LOVED The Fall Out!

Avery and Chris have instant chemistry when they meet each other amongst friends while out at a bar. They spend a hot, passionate night together and Chris is a total goner for her! Of course he’s surprised to wake up the next morning & discover she’s gone with no explanation. A few months later, Chris discovers the reason for Avery’s disappearance and unknowingly meets his future wingman!😏

I don’t normally go for the sugary sweet romances, but I REALLY enjoyed this one! There were so many green flags you couldn’t NOT like it!

You’ve got a hot athlete who waits a year for you because he’s so gone for you after one night and is the poster child for “If he wanted to, he would” and is dominant enough in the bedroom to keep the darker girlies hooked!

I’ve spent plenty of time with Connor in my ears and he’s always a crowd pleaser!! Portraying Chris’ gruff exterior was right up his alley and he always delivers great performances for the side characters. I’m a brunette but he can call me “Blondie” anytime!

I’m so mad that I’ve gone almost the entire year before Rose Dioro made her way into my ear holes!! It’s tragic really! She has such a sweet feminine voice that has this underlying tone that really appealed to me and sounded just like envisioned Avery would. Can’t wait to listen to more of her in 2025!

Highly recommend putting this one on your TBL! Looking forward to the rest of the series releasing in audio!
