Publisher's summary

As a species, people have tamed the Earth. Individually, in the face of a superior predator, we're all just as helpless as the day we were born. And a superior predator is out there. Humans may be the Apex predator, but there's something even more deadly. It's the Super Apex.

Wildly Original

If you are familiar with Ike Hamill, then you know that his works are very unique. This was no exception. This performance was good and the story was good. I had read the story when it first came out and I enjoyed revisiting it in this format. This story has a lot going on and great characters. Since it`s Ike Hamill, there are also quite a few characters. I recommend it for anyone who likes original, out-there horror.

Portal’s and monsters

Great story with good characters. Too many questions left unanswered. I can’t wait to listen to the next book.

Complete Disaster

Narration was good, but book itself was horrible. I got most of the way through but I just couldn’t even finish it. Too many characters doing completely unbelievable things. Confusing plots that were almost nonsensical (and not in a good way). If truly seemed like it was written by AI or a committee that just each took a bunch of really bad science-fiction ideas and threw them together. Invisible people-stealing mind monster, random characters, petty thieves, paranormal type podcasters, science experiments. Hawaiian police (you knew they were Hawaiian police and not the other bad guys because the all wore various Hawaiian outfits that were described to tell their secret police ranks and to separate them from the other secret government agencies) An absolute mess.

Glad this was free

This story was hard, for me at least, to follow. I only made it through to the end by fast forwarding. The story line was all over the place. Don't waste a credit on this one. Narrator was okay.

Move Along, Nothing To See Here

Clunky dialogue, directionless storyline, and poor narration... Humorous at times, but in the way a bad sf/Horror movie can be... Suspend your disbelief, set it on fire, bury the ashes, salt the ground, and you'll still have difficulty enjoying...

Poor plot cohesion

Most of the way through book and can’t follow the plot. Too disjointed. Sorry just couldn’t figure out the story
