About this listen

It's time to take level up, international-style!

Sam, with his unique superpower that lets him level up like a video game character, is now living the successful life as an up-and-coming hero alongside his team of beautiful superheroines. But when the dark past of two of his girls rears up, Sam realizes there's no time to rest on his laurels. It's time to zone in on a new region, unlock a brand-new series of quests and powers, and get big in Japan!

And if he can manage to level up enough, defeat the deadly clans and terrible crime families threatening the island-city, and save the nation, Sam will unlock a secret of his aspect even he can't imagine!

Warning: This book contains gorgeous women, reality-bending superpowers, sword fights 50 stories in the air, superpowered roller derby, a brand-new region, and the ability to become the strongest person the universe has ever seen. That’s right, we said universe.

sooo,

first off, if you enjoyed the previous books, this book is still good. It does seem to teeter out a little, but overall, it's a good book that continues the story and new villains

Disappointing and downhill

I absolutely loved books 1,2 and 3. Book 4 went downhill the author changed the story up. Events that happened in book 3 were apparently changed when it came to book 4 and then book 5 was just so boring that I ended up falling asleep while listening to it and struggle just to finish it and make it to the end. I unfortunately will not be reading book 6 because I am not in the mood for more disappointment... the story was a real let down

not much

okay I like that two of the girls closed a dark chapter in there lives but I think that could have been only part of the book not most of it but even as this one not my favorite of the series its still part of the set and should be read

Character issues

So the main character is RPG based and as he levels up he gets stronger, faster, and so on. In a previous books he even has the strength to to stop a falling coliseum. So, in the book he is sparring with one of his girl friends and her speed and strength is on par with his when a few book earlier her ability were more geared in a different direction. I guess the main character is broken but not in a good way. What is the point of leveling up if it does not actually give you an advantage. Wow your strength stat went up but everyone one else’s stats went up to so, sorry for the effort.

Kind of odd and loses the fun advantage of having the ability to level up and get better. Apparently every one scales and the superpower kind of sucks if not down right terrible.
