Important theme for discussion in 7th grade!

Where does Swear to Howdy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top. I requested that Audible carry this, and am so grateful to find that this year, it is on the list!

What did you like best about this story?

The theme of friendship and Van Draanen's layered, multidimensional take on this theme. Humor helps!

What does Jeff Woodman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Annunciation and animation in his voice provides a different "take" on the story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes. I do not wish to spoil it, but I read this book in one day. I couldn't put it down!

Any additional comments?

Remind your students or children that it is important not to spoil it for others by telling them what happens.
