About this listen

He has a big...smile.

It was the first thing I noticed that day until he stood. His grey sweatpants hung off his hips, and I didn’t want to look. I really didn’t.

I’m a feminist.

I don’t believe in objectifying men. I don’t catcall men. I don’t ogle the bodies of men. I don’t view men as objects of my affection rather than complex people with feelings, wants, and needs of their own. I don’t treat men the way society often treats women.

I treat men the way I want to be treated as a woman - with respect!

So, when Carlos ran into me while I was reviewing my interview questions in the park, it surprised me to see my photography classmate out of class. I was also surprised to see as much of him as I did.

It wasn’t just that it caught my eye. It was the fact that it held my attention.

It wasn’t just that it was large. It was the fact that it was visibly large.

It wasn’t just that it was Carlos Richmond. It was the fact that I am Akila Bishara.

And I am not seduced by anything other than intelligent conversation, witty rapport, and meaningful actions.

I am not seduced by a dick print.

I am not.

Seriously, I’m not.

Good overall story. Though it got a bit explicit sex wise and repetitive with several sentences in varied chapters, it was a sood story overall. I didn't care fir the female voice doing all the male characters. But, the story was good overall.

Nice Story

Great story! It was entertaining. Well written. The flow was nice and smooth. The young lady narrating is one of my favorites. She does the different voices very well.

Loved it!

I loved this storyline. The writing is amazing and the narrator was great. I need a follow up book about Keke and Carlos.

I liked the story but it was too repetitive at times. The character would state her issue with her love interest right after stating her issue with her love interest. THEN she’d talk to her bestie about her love interest and restate the exact same text, which the audience had already learned five or six times (depending on where you are in the book) beforehand. Each time she repeated it, I’d roll my eyes and say, “Yes, we know!” It was annoying. Other than that, I think the love story was cute.

Cute but…

This was a slow burn to build and show the attraction and chemistry between Carlos (Los Cabos) & Akila.... It was nice to see the two of them had so much in common, which ultimately brought them together. Akila is considered the modern day feminist and Carlos is the voice of reason. The two of them are partners in a photography class and also partnered by an Editor at a popular magazine to collaborate on a series of articles from each of their perspectives. Despite the initial attraction when meeting in the class, the close proximity really provides a full on picture of the chemistry between the two. Of course there are some bumps and bruises along the way, but the couple eventually figure it all out. Wesleigh did an absolutely phenomenal job voicing all of the various characters in the story.

I Was Rooting For Akila & Carlos🖤

Author work is great! Just the female character was working my nerves. Overall the book was great.

Wesleigh is the best

I loved this book! I couldn’t stop listening because I was heavily invested in the sexual tension and build up between her and Carlos. The only part that was frustrating was Carlos’s complacency with his idiot podcast bros lol

Heavily invested
