Cuffing Season

I wasn’t looking for a man.
I was looking for a mentor.

When renowned photographer Luca Romano returned home to teach a photo storytelling workshop, Hamilton University was buzzing. But a campus-wide email warned us not to approach Luca if we weren’t selected to participate—and I wasn’t selected.

I wasn’t looking to break the rules.
I was looking to break into the industry.

I knew getting photographed by Luca Romano would catapult my career. I hoped he’d call, but I had no expectations. I wanted to converse with him, pick his brain, expand my portfolio. That’s all.

Listen… I wasn’t looking to be his muse.
But I wasn’t going to tell him no.

Cuffing Season is a stand-alone spin-off of Sweatpants Season

Wesleigh Siobhan is golden

This book and Sweatpants season have giving me a lot to think about. The toxic masculinity and misogyny is over the top.

I hope that the author decides to write a book dealing with Bryant (Cityboi). And that he falls in love with a strong woman. That dynamic would be 🔥🔥🔥

The Part 2 We Needed

The Lost Boys are out of here lol. Once again I loved the messaging behind this book. I just wished we had a little more character development and background on Serena and Luca cause they were absolutely too cute!! I wanted so much more. I didn’t want to it.

A bit drawn out

I like where she was going with the story but the love aspect was dragged too much and then was under developed. I also wasn't feeling the accent of Luca.

UnPutDownable and great sequel

Chileeeee 😏, Danielle Allen did it again. This is the perfect follow-up to "Sweatpants Season." Luca mf Romano......Now, where the hell do I sign up for cuffing season and my very own Luca, cause whewwww. Maybe the title should have been titled something else, but overall, the book was a 10/10. The sex scenes, misogyny, double standards, sexism, and even them funky Podcasters made their appearance in this book, too. Country boy finally wrote a check he couldn't cash. The care and attention to detail Luca gave to Serena..... uh uh uh 😳 😐. Danielle's characters are so real, so tangible. She needs her books turned to film, asap. Yeah, get this book, too. You won't regret it. It's UnPutDownable, for sure! #Book17of2024 #Bookworm

There is a lot

OK...... I wish we got more of the love story in this book. There was so much more to unpack.
So why did I give it 5 stars????? The narration was on point. Most importantly, the author had me enraged with that podcast. If I ever meet anybody called city boy or country boy, there might be some furniture moving....IJS.
So, although I wanted more of love, this author did a great job with highlighting societal differences and norms with shaming and objectifying women.
