Layla's father wanted her to marry Jimmy but, unfortunately, she thought Jimmy was boring. She tells her father that sex with him is 22 boring minutes. Her father admitted his sex life is better than hers. What an uncomfortable conversation to have with your father! Giovanni owned a chocolate store and Layla would stop in for chocolate. He has lusted after her for quite a while. After she calls off her engagement to Jimmy, Gio asks her on a date. They go out and end up back at her house where they really get to know each other. Gio realizes he wants to spend his life with her, something he never wanted with another woman but Gio had a confession to make. That scene on Gio's plane was really hot. The ending of this short book was very nice and I am sorry the book is not longer. Lu Banks did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This is a new author to me. I had not read nor heard any of her work prior to this. However, It was an easy listen. Steady plot line. Excellent imagery. The narrator's voice is lovely and smooth. Very relaxing to listen to. She moves easily between the various characters so that deeper into the book you KNOW who is speaking without any other clues. She is awesome! Overall a great little book.. A good listen for your lunch break or commute to/from work.

This is an amazing quick tease!!! The narration was excellently done! I was able to relate to the main character because the author is the bomb. The main character goes from 22 minutes of blah to a world wind and a soulmate! She took her power back because she did not settle and was rewarded….

The book was a quick cute and hot. And made me want to find my own chocolate king lol. The author did a great job this story is definitely good if your looking for good, quick, sexy read. Now the narrator she did fantastic. I will be on the lookout for more of her work!

This is a short hot Insta love story between a romance writer who just broke off her engagement and the owner and chocolate maker of Sweet and Sassy who has been infatuated with her for a while. This was a steamy hot quick listen with a HEA.

I had some time in between projects and was looking for a quick read. For some reason I came across this title and author. The author was new to me as well as the narrator. But for some reason I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I was not disappointed! The reason that I did not give it a higher rating is because it is short. It is an “in-between” piece of work. It doesn’t have a satisfying conclusion, but I am reasonably sure that it will in a future work, which I am looking forward to, it will. Think of it as being “The Empire Strikes Back” in the original Star Wars trilogy good, but by itself not particularly fulfilling. The writing hits all the important points for this sort of genre, the characters are easy to recognize, the plot-line is simple and the pace is upbeat. It doesn’t talk down to the reader it is just an easy read. Which sometimes is all you want!

Now to the narrator, this was a new narrator to me and doing a quick Google search did not turn up any particular hits so I’m assuming she is relatively new to the trade. If that’s the case, keep her name in mind because I think she’s going places! Her voice is sweet but not cloyingly so. It is very smooth and very easy to listen too. The one thing that I would fault her for, is that she’s almost too good! We don’t have a chance to learn anything about her and relax knowing that she is talking with us. But that’s a minor complaint and it is something that is so hard to do that I’m sure she will do with time! I’m looking forward to listening to more books that she does and following her growth and experience.

All in all, a good experience! I’m just faulting it for the shortness of the book and the transitory nature of the story! I’m sure she will address both issues! But otherwise I am very happily satisfied! I think both the author and the narrator make a good team and watch for more output from them both.
