Publisher's summary

Emily has the life every woman dreams of. At 29, she has two beautiful kids, a live-in nanny, a housekeeper, a cook, and every imaginable luxury in the posh Upper East Side townhouse she shares with her drop-dead gorgeous husband, Louis Bruel. His company, Bruel Industries, owns a big chunk of New York City's most sought-after real estate, and together Emily and Louis embody the perfect hot fairy tale couple for 10 happy years of marriage. But when Louis mysteriously starts pushing Emily away, becoming distant and secretive, she is forced to search for the truth among the lies, scandal, and heartbreak of his past that threaten to shatter her world.

What she finds out will test the strength of her love and her vows to the man of her dreams. Can Emily and Louis rewind far enough back to a time when life was simpler and love was all they needed? Follow their story with the help of some of their favorite songs from the 80's to discover just how deep, and how far, love will go.

4 Stars Love In Rewind

What made the experience of listening to Love in Rewind the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed the two narrators. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if it was only read by one narrator.

What about Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian Fields ’s performance did you like?

They both did great, They brought the characters to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but I didn't have the time to listen to it all at once. I listened to it in 2 sittings.

Any additional comments?

Great Job. I can't wait to dive in to the next book!

Great debut novel with two fantastic narrators!

Would you consider the audio edition of Love in Rewind to be better than the print version?

Yes. The dual narration for live dialogue was an especially cool feature.

What other book might you compare Love in Rewind to and why?

Clipped Wings by Helena Hunting because the male and female narrators were good in a similar way.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Louis apologizes about his past and asks Emily to never leave him.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Louis wakes up in the hospital and won't let go of Emily's hand when the doctor comes in to check up on him.

Any additional comments?

I hope that the sequel has the same narration style.

The narrator brought the story to life

I had originally tried reading this story as an eBook, but I couldn't seem to get into it.... I once read that some series are made for audio and I think this is definitely one of those.
I enjoyed it but I do think it could have been tighter, some scenes seemed to exist just to lead up to a HOTTT scene.... Oh boy is this a hot book! Not only do I think my kindle got so steamy it needs dehumidify ing I also had to resort to wearing earphones!!!! My husband came hone to find me initially listening to the book on my PC while I was cataloguing my photographs, to then hear a rather HOT with a capital H scene and exclaimed WTF are you listening to P. O. R. N.... Omg I nearly wet myself laughing.

Word of warning don't listen to this book in public place's or you will get some shocked looks. Earphones are a must... Or locked away somewhere private.

The voices of the narrator's really brought the characters alive for me.
This is the second audible book I've tried.. The other, a fantasy had a voice that put me to sleep... So one thing I do recommend is to listen to a sample of any audible book you may want to purchase.

Kirsten was great, Emily sounded just like a naïve 17 year of, but also was great at the numerous other female characters. Nana made me laugh with her Hebrew sayings.
Emily initially was rather hard to like, being super naïve and at times acting 13 rather than a 18+and I Didn't get the virginal act...those scenes could give FSOG a run for its money! The scenes before they actually got to the full on "Let's Get it On" by Marvin Gaye (lol see I'm getting into the swing of Emily and Sarah's secret language there) if you're going to suck... You may as well.... You can't say your innocent after doing what Em and Lewis got up to!

And let's get onto Lewis AKA Sebastian Fields. . OMFG his voice! Its most definitely definable as a panty dropping older man! He also did a good job on making the voice's of the other characters sound different, and matching their personalities.

Although Lewis did utter a few too many expletives sometimes during his heated moments, I did find sometimes he came across as a dirty old man chasing the naïve young girl 12 years younger than him.

The usual dramatic tension that is always in a romance book was predictable but had some twists that you didn't really expect. And by the end of the book you are left with a small cliff hanger which will have you wanting to grab Lies in Rewind which is the next book in the series.

In conclusion I'm happy to say that I am glad I took the Chance on the story, as I think Tali did a great job finding the right voices for her characters so they really come alive for the listener.

If you're after a storyline that's steamy but without the kink of FSOG then grab this book and remember the earphones!

Thanks to the author Tali Alexander for gifting me a copy to review. I think you may have hooked me into audio books!!!!

Love in Review

Wow! I think this has to be my favorite audiobook yet! I love how Sebastian read the dialogue for the men throughout the book.
Kirsten was wonderful! When I actually read the book the first time it's actually how I heard Emily's voice in my head.
Love love love!

Love stories with seasoned relationships

However, I didn't expect the whole "past" to be the whole story. Nonetheless it was still a good read. The end should have had a few more chapters. We just got to the present only for the ending to arrive so soon.

Loved it!

I fell in love with their love story and wanted so bad for everything to work out. It really kept me on the edge of my seat hoping and praying for no screw ups. LOVE IN REWIND was an incredible read about real life marriage issues. Truly enjoyed!!

WOW!! LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

Would you listen to Love in Rewind again? Why?

YES!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK 2!!!
From the beginning to the end, I couldn't stop listening to the story.

What did you like best about this story?

Tali Alexander did an amazing job on capturing every detail on Emily side, too bad we didn't get to see more of Louis side.

Which character – as performed by Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian Fields – was your favorite?

Yes, almost to the end, the emotions were so high, especially Emily's dream (boy it got me). I hope in the 2nd book, there isn't anymore drama with Emily and Louis love story. The 2nd book should continue with Sara, I loved her character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I didn't find anything wrong with the narrator's performance, they both did an amazing job.

Any additional comments?

This will be a good movie!!!
