Great listen and amazing writing

The journey from amazing marriage to trying to grow as a person after several jarring events was absolutely amazing.

I’m still not used to audiobooks and this one had sex scenes so it was doubly weird but that still didn’t take away from the way it was written and how the characters flourished.

The narrator, Felicia Palmer, was extremely good. She did accents and voices for the different characters and she rocked the first person POV. The descriptions of the feelings Cristiana goes through as she battles the confusing emotions between herself, Owen and Beau were absolutely perfect. I was awestruck and couldn’t stop listening.

The Ticket builds on a very old premise. In fact, Owen Wilson starred in a movie about this very thing. A “hall pass” so that if and when your significant other meets the person they find very attractive, most of the time being a celebrity, they have permission from their spouse to one night with them.

The war inside Cristiana was amazingly described and posed an age long question about cheating in a relationship. A little different from a hall pass but similar premise nonetheless. It was a somewhat predictable twist at the end but it was written so well, I ain’t even mad.

Do you cash in the ticket or not?

This was my first story by Jaimes and I am dying to know what happens next. This was well written, though dry at times, but I needed to know what happened so I kept listening. This was a non-traditional slow burn story and while I normally do not like listening to cheating, Jaimes did a nice job leading the listener through just what her characters were thinking and feeling.

love triangle

Chris and Owen and Bo
Does her husband having an affair give a ticket for one night with someone of her choice? What are the repercussions after the ticket is redeemed? Chris heart is torn between Her husband and Bo, who really wants her for his own. Aidee James tells this story with so much depth, jealousy, Angst, anger, loss and love. She shows the effects of betrayal in marriage.
Felicia Palmer is a new narrator for me She performed the story flawlessly. Giving each character their own voice and accents.

Not my usual, but so good!

This storyline was definitely not my normal go-to trope, but I’ve got to say- I loved it. I was torn the entire book on which characters to pull for. Kudos to the author! I do feel like the two books could be combined into one longer book however. Loved them both!

This book is excellent!

Aidee James is new to me, but this book deserves 5 stars in my opinion. The subject matter made me question whether I was going to like the book or not, but I became so invested in the characters and their stories, that I couldn’t stop listening! I didn’t put it down until I was completely finished with the.book!!! Only one sitting for me!!!

Felicia Palmer has an amazing voice and did extremely well with these characters. I loved listening to her!!!

More Please!!!!

Wow wow wow. What a story. It had me hooked from start to finish. It took me a little longer time to finish it, but it’s ok. Gah. I just don’t know what to say. I’m speechless. I need my very own Bo. Way too many emotions that’s for sure. I need more now please!!

Interesting!

A very good listen. Narrator was excellent. The end is very abrupt but is ok considering this is the first book in a series.

Beautifully written

A golden ticket! Can it ruin an already damaged marriage or save it. I truly felt Cris’s pain after finding out news about her unfaithful husband. The author and narrator do a fabulous job of making the pain feel so real! I wasn’t sure if I should be rooting for the Husband or Bo! I can’t wait until I listen to book 2! Slightly obsessed with this book!
