About this listen

Shell-shocked after a nightmarish school shooting, Amalie Pope retreats to an aging plantation house near Bordelaise, Louisiana, to heal, physically and emotionally. She's there barely an hour when a tornado rips through bayou country, mercifully leaving the house intact. She's stranded, but unafraid - until there's a knock on the door.

Four escaped prisoners barge inside, and in an instant, Amalie is a hostage again. These men are wounded, desperate and dangerous, with one exception. Undercover DEA operative Nick Aroyo is on the run with the gang he's infiltrated. The only thing he wants more than this collar is to protect fragile, frightened Amalie, who has surrendered herself to his care, body, soul - and heart. But he'll have to play the thug in order to keep her and his secrets safe, because even though the storm has passed, the danger remains.

What did you like best about Swept Aside? What did you like least?

It was a nice story but it could have been much better. Was a little boring at times.

Would you be willing to try another book from Sharon Sala? Why or why not?

Yes, I have enjoyed most of her books.

Could you see Swept Aside being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

maybe, not sure

Nice Story

Would you try another book from Sharon Sala and/or Gabra Zackman?

no from this author, yes to GZ. I own way too many to listen to C stories. I own so many that are in the A category, some of which I have not been able to get to listen yet.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

good ending

Have you listened to any of Gabra Zackman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

she can read the phone book, but the story has to be there for her to pull it out of the fire.
I have a few reads that were not worth the time, but for her reading the story.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

better editing as it had a great outline

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator made the main character sound like a whiny, weak woman. Yes, the woman is going through a difficult time in her life, but I think the narrator interpretation of her was beyond that. Although I'm sure blame partly lies with the author, but I've actually read (not listened) to a few of Sharon Sala's other books and have not noticed anything similar.

Good Story, Wimpy Voice

This is the third book in this series and I have read the first two and now I am so glad to have read the final book. It was so well worth it. The only thing I did not like was the storytellers voice for the man. Other than that I loved everything about this book and I highly recommend.

Thrilling an action packed. A very real story being told
