Publisher's summary

Perfectionist mom takes doing it all to the next level as the world’s worst attempted swinger

Raised in figure skating, Ashleigh brought the quest for perfectionism into marriage and motherhood, striving for the highest level of difficulty while trying to make it all appear effortless and beautiful. Hilarious, heartbreaking, and hopeful, what will she do when she realizes she has taken "doing it all" to a level she never intended?

she is so real!

Her story of life is so funny and she's great at building the back story so you completely understand what was going on

Unique and Wonderful

This book was surprising. I was a little startled by some of the sexy content (Some say I should read the synopsis, but I find they often give away the good parts like movie trailers do *grin* ;)
but I actually found the honesty of the experiences freeing in a way that let me relax and look at my own beliefs and stereotypes.
It was also surprising that this story could be so light and funny while being so raw and vulnerable. I appreciated the introspection and the lack of whining and/or preachy that I find in a lot of other memoirs.
The story is interesting and unique, but I think listening to the author read makes it even more powerful and endearing.
Great find.

Learn to know one’s self and love yourself anyway.

I love this surprising, sexy, thought provoking journey of self discovery.

Her warm and witty writing style is only surpassed by her gutsy determination to explore life at every level.
I found myself rooting for her, as well as other women caught up in the struggle to find their own voice.

Greatness attracts haters

Take this as your cue to ignore the negative reviews. This story is something every single person who deigns to enter a relationship must read. The range of emotion this book takes you through as Ashleigh tells you her story personally will change something in you. It’s a call to empathy and an invitation to get comfy with the parts of you that shame and stigma attack the most. Leave the pretense at the door and dive in!

Swinging is part of life both highs and lows

The real life story about the trials and tribulations of marriage. Marriage is not easy and while many things can happen, Ashley does a masterful job of telling a compelling story of love and heartache and finding one’s way.

Mix of relationship, personal development, and swing culture

While somewhat misleading, the book had some very insightful concepts of developing yourself and understanding your relationship with the culture around you.

Beautiful Book and Worth a Listen

This book is about sex, and it has nothing to do with it. It’s about a person’s coming of age. A person realizing perfection isn’t possible. It’s the story of someone realizing it’s in facing the hard things that we find what we’re looking for all along.

I’m thankful that Ashleigh did the hard work to compose this book. I’m inspired by her courage.

I think you will be too.
