About this listen

Uncompromising cowboy

Max Slade has no time for regrets. Until the biggest regret of his life shows up in Wyoming. Four years ago Max left Calley Hastings without a word of explanation. He'd tried to write, but how do you tell a thoroughly urban woman that you're moving to a ranch to take care of three orphaned little boys? No, Calley didn't belong on the ranch or in his life - then or now.

Calley thought she was coming to Wyoming to visit a pen pal, but it turns out she's been writing to Max's matchmaking brothers! Well, there was no way she and Max would ever reconcile. She doesn't know how to ride a horse, and, more important, how could she love someone who'd found it so easy to walk away from her? And yet, how can she crush the hope of the boys who just want to see Max happy again?

Two very good tales of romance and love.

BOOK 1 The Groom who (almost) got away.

Being called back to his duty to family, when his father and step-mother was killed, Max had only on regret on leaving New York. Leaving his girlfriend, Calley behind, without word of why he left.
His step-brother, eldest of the four that Max is now legal guardian to, finds information that starts a rollercoaster ride, for Max and Calley, in the boy's attempt to give Max the happiness he had seemed to have loss.

Book 2 The Texas Rancher's Marriage

Two people, hoodwinked, each by their own sibling, find that their lives were turned upside down, when their siblings were killed in an accident, leaving behind the twins, who was th he cause of the consternation the adults were feeling. For paperwork found after the deaths, revealed a situation, which neither knew how to handle.

I have tried not to spoil a good yarn, but it is mind boggling in one respect and difficult to solve in another. However, your best to either listen to, or read the story, to get this story's true impact.
