About this listen

The women of Bliss County are ready to meet the men of their dreams! See how it all begins in this enthralling new series by number-one New York Times best-selling author Linda Lael Miller.

Ten years ago, Hadleigh Stevens was 18 and this close to saying "I do", when Tripp Galloway interrupted her walk down the aisle. Now that she's recovered from her youthful mistake and Tripp's interference, Hadleigh and her single friends form a marriage pact. She doesn't expect Tripp to meddle with her new plan to find Mr. Right - or to discover that she's more attracted to him than ever! Divorced and eager to reconnect with his cowboy roots, Tripp returns to Bliss County to save his ailing father's ranch. He's not looking for another wife - certainly not his best friend's little sister. But he's never been able to forget Hadleigh. And this time, if she ends up in his arms, he won't be walking away!

I really enjoy LLM’s books.

I enjoy enjoyed the series. It’s light reading/ listening for me but I do enjoy LLM’s books most anytime. I do like Jack Garrett’s voice he does a great job. My only suggestion is please Mr Garrett, watch a few knife commercials. It’s a fillet knife(fillay knife not a fill-et knife.) I’m from the West Coast originally but
have lived in the south for many years. Never have I heard a cowboy ( which I know many) or anyone else call it a fill et knife. Other than that one thing your wonderful. That’s the perfect voice for these books. I have listened to many books you preform & I always enjoy listening.

Slow ponderous love story that eventually got there.

I loved it that this story wasn’t just about sex but it was a sweet evolving love story. Also enjoyed the love shared by the three women friends although the marriage pact seemed a bit juvenile. Stupid ending in a truck made it seem all the more juvenile.

Got bored

This just got boring. The beginning sounded promising but it then became too tedious. I stopped 2/3 of the way through.

Great book. Easy and enjoyable.

A little predictable, but still easy and fun to listen. Good narrator, and no surprises.

I love Linda Miller but...

Would you try another book from Linda Lael Miller and/or Jack Garrett?

I love Linda Miller. I love her books, I love how her characters come alive. This book was very boring. The story line was ok but they kept focusing on their feelings from years ago. IT was just a basic story of how they loved each other years ago but she was too young, he was married, she didn't know, he broke her heart.

Don't Bother!!

What disappointed you about The Marriage Pact?

It was boring. The lines were cheesy and over the top sappy. I actually said Ugh out loud a few times. I have thoroughly enjoyed other books by this author, but this one was a dud.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Jack Garrett?

I don't mind this narrator. I've listened to him before and I think he does a good job.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

A lot of eye rolling.
