Very nice book!

This is a fun biography, and a fun look into historical lives of an early Utah family. The author tells of Marcus Weaver's interesting mission experiences, the snakes, the bugs and all the fun and adventures he had.

The story is described in journal style and is very enjoyable to listen to. The experiences of this couple are very interesting as their spiritual, humorous and life's story is related by the author. The narrator Carolyn Kashner does an excellent job as the storyteller and narrator.

I really enjoyed listening to the engaging events in the life of this Latter-Day Saint couple as they forge their life and their future life together.

I think you will enjoy this family-friendly biography of a lovely family and it might even inspire the listener to write a biography of their family members' lives.

I received an Audible copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

My review

This is my first time reading/listening to a biography, so I must be honest and say I was a little iffy and didn’t know what to expect. The first part of this book was of Marcus’ time at war and then his time as a missionary. Marcus was an incredible man with a God-given calling, and he wrote lots of letters. Starting at chapter 4 we finally get to the part of Marcus and Mildred’s’ courtship and their life together. Linda Weaver Clarke told me that she wrote this book so her kids would know their grandparents better; I think this book would make her parents proud and be a great treasure for her kids.

I do think that if there was also a male narrator it really would have elevated this audiobook as most of this book were letters by Marcus.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author. These are my own and honest opinions.

Reads like fiction

I like to read as listen to real stories and they are always the best when they feel like fiction it you know it’s true. That just means the person has an interesting life and that was true of this book. I love listening in the car and when I do stuff around the house it makes the time go so fast!

Interesting

Take a Walk with Marcus Gilbert Weaver and Milred Gough: A Biography
By: Linda Weaver Clarke

This is a biographical story of the adventures, meeting and mail

courtship, then marriage and raising family of Marcus Gilbert Weaver and

Milred Gough.

I knew there was supposed to be religion involved, but not that it was

Mormon. This is different than I was raised and I won't change my

beliefs.

These people believed in their faith.

The narration was well done. The people were well portrayed by Carolyn

Kashner.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have

voluntarily left this review.
