About this listen

Track coach Andrea O'Connor fumed at the audacity of Ian Powers, the very attractive father of one of her students. He had offered to buy school equipment only if Andrea agreed to train him for a half-marathon.

Well, train him, she would. And not just in running. As a widower with a high-powered job, Ian needed some instruction in being a father to an active teenage daughter. Yet as this overbearing man opened up, Andrea found herself learning lessons - in loving.

Ian knew that, with her assertive attitude and penchant for stilettos, Andrea was some woman! But her vulnerable heart was on the run, so he'd have to prove that his love, unlike his running, had limitless endurance - and once he caught this swift beauty, he'd never let her go.

Delightful not- to- miss Romance!

Where does Taking Love in Stride rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I enjoyed the story, the characters, and most of all the way the story was brought to life by the narration. This is a great, light romance which is very entertaining because it is so well performed.

What about Holly Adams’s performance did you like?

Holly has a nuanced, captivating narration style that drew me in to the story and made me want to keep listening.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes romances.

keep the title

The story line was good, the narration was good. I enjoyed the relationship with the teen girl and her father and grandfather. My only problem with the story was the number of times the Andrea, teacher/possible love interest of father, flipped and compared him to her own father. It was her hang up and it was understandable with his actions the daughter's response, however, I can't imagine many men who would keep coming back for more.
Andrea is the girls track coach and kicks one of the students off of the team because she misses or is late to too many practices. Even though it appears she isn't interested, Denise panics and begs to be put back on the team. Her father, Ian, comes to school, all outraged business man, taking it to the principal without even talking to Andrea. So begins the tug of her past into her present.
Ian actually listens to Andrea who becomes Denise's confidant. The effort on his part brings the relationship with his daughter into a healthy, loving one.
Will Andrea finally realize not only is Ian not her father, she has been ignoring her father for so long she may not even know what he is like now.

Not a attention grabber!

This book did not grab my attention! I can't say it is a bad listen. I switched to a different book in the middle of listening and will probably go back and finish it when I don't have anything that is grabbing my attention. I would definitely call this a filler book. Lot of arrogance and back and forth banter; its like the author is trying to hard.

Grown woman with daddy issues

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The author must be a spinster or an uptight rich b?@$! and thinks writing a book like this is therapeutic. Truly this book was unrealistic and boring there was more love shown for the kid then the man she likes. If you like women who makes fools of themselves because they can't commit to anything there whole lives because they felt neglected and only wants what they want nothing more. Than this book is for you.

What does Holly Adams bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Narrator was great she worked what she had. I can not blame her for the material she was given.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Taking Love in Stride?

The ending they didn't know each other. Why would he waste his time with a woman like her. This must of been self published.

Any additional comments?

Don't waste a credit wait for 2 for one or get it at the library.
