This short book is packed with wisdom. Listen a few times and take something new away each time. And the narrator is one of my favorites so far.

Such a blessing, the authors is always a wonderful author and now I feel I can achieve what he write about, thank you so much. The reader was amazing too. I am a woman if 78 who wonders if she should go back to work as a therapist, perhaps I should just enjoy living my own life as discussed by the author.

From a woman age 78 who much needed to listen and learn from this wonderful book

This was a good read with great insight. I have to parent myself and realize that rather than get angry I should guard my heart.

With his signature clarity and thoughtfulness, Thay offers techniques for shifting one's difficult emotions to a better place using mindfulness techniques.

Whether these ideas are new or very familiar, this book is definitely worth the listen. This book isn't about being a Buddhist or practicing the religion. Instead it offers practical application and insight using the tools of awareness and consciousness to process challenging emotions. Be aware that it isn't a "quick fix," as it involves facing those challenges - authentically, yet free from judgment. Many of us can verify that using these techniques and perspectives can improve one's quality of life.

Great book! Highly recommend
