A well written novel. The author has a way of artistically creating a scene. Quite beautiful in places. Narrator performance is excellent.

Almost every chapter has very descriptive passages regarding sexual relationships between characters. I could have done without that; one chapter has a gay couple. No sex is described between them; but it is made clear they're a gay couple. I loved The parts that weren't about relationships between the characters though. It was very moving and thought provoking
