About this listen

Teleporter is the second in a series of stories featuring the Hyllis family who tend to inherit talents. The stories are set after a plague-induced apocalypse which resulted in the collapse of civilization and reduced mankind back to iron and horsepower.

Eva Hyllis and her ancestors became healers because they could feel the insides of their patients with their talents. This helps them diagnose the underlying causes of many illnesses. Having made a diagnosis, unfortunately, there is often not all that much that they can do to treat the problem. Tarc Hyllis, Eva's son, has telekinesis so that he can "push" objects with his mind as well as being able to feel inside of people. This gives him the ability to diagnose bleeding inside someone and then stop that bleeding by applying pressure inside the patient.

Now Tarc's sister Daussie proves to be able to teleport small objects. She can remove a gallstone! This is a huge help to patients with gallbladder disease. Can she do more. Unfortunately, the Hyllises have to leave their home in Walterston. Traveling the roads in their day and age can be dangerous. Will their talents also let them protect themselves?

Another great story.

I enjoy Lawrence E Donner's books, when I get the email that a new audible version of his books are ready I just say take my money.

Good story but with a bit of a flaw.

I had the exact same problem with the last book, I really enjoyed the story but nobody's that stupid. Any healer would know how incredibly delicate the inside of somebody's heart or brain is. It wouldn't take a very smart person at all to turn their talents into a weapon inside somebody's body in such needful situations, it is the most obvious thing to do but they cannot figure it out through the large part of two books.

The author even mentioned it at the end of the last book but I do not agree, moving metal objects around would be so much harder than making a slight crease inside someone's brain or pushing a little on the brain, he did it in this book with the stroke. he could walk around doing that to anybody he pleased. And his sister could be even more dangerous with teleportation, even the tiniest little bit of a person's heart teleported away would kill them almost instantly. yet she blunders around trying to give her enemies stomach aches.

But that issue aside I really like these books so far.

Book 2 is even better than the first one!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book 2 in the series. Sure, I can imagine a couple of things the hero and heroine could have done differently, as others have mentioned in their reviews, but overall, I was completely engaged in the story through to the end anyway. Well worth a listen! Christopher Lane once again does a wonderful job of narrating. I am looking forward to listening to book 3!

Dahners' best

I'm really enjoying this series so much so that I did something unfathomable... Since volume 3 is not yet on audible, I bought the actual book on Kindle.

For every 20 books that I listen to, I read one. If that's not an endorsement, then I don't know what is.

These stories are clever and well thought out

I have enjoyed the last two stories. I like the idea of these characters having superhuman powers, yet they are not the massive super powers that we are used to seeing in the movies and many stories. I like the idea that with the smaller super human traits, the main characters need to figure out ways to make them useful. I really am glad that the author puts in his own word at the very end of each book to address search issues.

Different from other magic or sci-fi books

I liked this book, although it took a while for it to get going. The idea that the MC can use his talents both to heel or kill is interesting. The MC is a nice guy that doesn’t like killing but has despatched about 30 guys in the last 2 books. I am guessing as we go forward he becomes more of a healer. The books are a bit short and probably not worth a full credit. I would recommend getting these on sale (if you can). I purchased this one on sale.

Another great book

I think I’m just gonna go through and read everything is author has written. This book kept me in interested the whole time. Couldn’t wait to get back to it. Looking forward to the rest of the series. So glad there’s lots more to come.

poor language and plots

I'm sorely disappointed in this story and for that matter the plot itself. The heroes don't even have to try learn a skill when it is needed, it just arrives!

This should have a warning for child r-pe. Not okay.

Hate it. The child abuse is not okay. This writer is a perv and I’m mad I bought any of his books. Disgusting
