Publisher's summary

Mistaken identity leads to love in Tempt Me, the first book in the new, steamy contemporary romance series The Macintyre Brothers Series from USA Today best-selling author S. E. Lund.

I thought my life was all mapped out - marriage to my very ambitious fiancé, a career in business writing, and a family.

Then I found my husband-to-be in the middle of more than just dictation with his nubile young "sexretary" Bunni.

That's Bunni with an "I" just so we're clear.

Brokenhearted, I swore off men in general and office romances in particular. I escaped to Manhattan with the plan of starting a new life on my own two feet, free of my cheating fiancé.

Despite an initial disastrous encounter with sexy bicycle courier Josh, I couldn't help but admire his buff body, sharp mind, and sense of humor. On top of it, he was a real gentleman, offering to help me when my life crumbled around me.

Maybe a crass and meaningless relationship of sex, sex, and more sex with his hunky and very buff cyclist body would be good enough. He might not be my own Mr. Big, but a fling with him would sure beat another session with B.O.B.

Then I discovered that the sexy bicycle courier who stole my heart was none other than Joshua Macintyre Jr., one of America's richest bachelors.

Not only that, he's also my boss.

Now, I'm afraid I'm going to break all my rules about office romances.....

The Macintyre Brothers Series:

Five brothers. One hell of a last will and testament. Five couples find their happy ever after.

  1. Tempt Me is the story of Josh and Ella's beginning.
  2. Tease Me continues the story of their growing romance.
  3. Tame Me follows the couple as they find their happy ever after.

Nice story

Nice story it doesn't leave much behind but fun while it lasted.
The characters are good both been cheated on and find it hard to trust and love again.
In the box love story like I call them. rich guy saving damsel in stress.
The female narrator sometimes irritated me some whining tone she uses. the male narrator is good.

Hot!

Great start to a new series. Kinda short for such a good audiobook, I wouldn't have minded if book 1 and 2 had been combined. Narration was excellent. Both narrator's did superb jobs brings the characters to life.

Does it pass my cat's paw of approval? 🐱🐾🐾 Yep!

I really enjoyed this story!!

S.E. Lund did a great job! I think this is my first one of hers I've listened to. I'll need to listen to the others in the series! Scott and Sierra did great with the narration, also. Don't think I've heard them before. This was a great listen!
I requested this free audiobook and am giving an honest review! I'm glad I got to listen!!

Eh, just ok

Is definitely a slooooow burn, pretty good. The narrators are fantastic - you know them but they are reading under different names! The writing is just odd. Rudimentary really. Strange things they start to each other that are out of character (“what’s your favorite type of porn” from the FMC who calls her ex Jerk-face the whole time for a frame of reference…) just oddly written. I won’t go on in the series even though the male narrator is one of my faves.

Not Too Bad

I enjoyed the storyline even though it was somewhat predictable. I did feel that there was a lot of unnecessary Back-and-forth within the female character. Should I should I not, am I in this Am I not kind of thing hence the three stars for the story. It was an easy listen for sure and The narrators did a great job. I can’t say 100% I recommend this book but if you have extra free time then go for it. I will not continue the series nor will I spend a credit on the next book though.

Really good!

I thought this book had a really good premise and interesting characters. It wasn’t an insta-love type of romance but there also isn’t a lot of unnecessary drama. I’m interested to see what happens in the next couple of books and if Josh and Ella have found their HEA.

Nice

Tempt Me is a great love story with interesting characters. The premise for the storyline could've been further developed. The epilogue is a bit unexpected, ending in a cliffhanger. I think if the book was longer and not split into additional installments, my rating would've been higher.
Sierra Kline and Scott Lennard do an excellent job with the narration. I particularly enjoyed, Scott Lennard's performance, he was outstanding. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

I liked it but pacing was a problem

I liked the story and the characters but the pacing was an issue a d it ends on a "happy for now". I wasn't really satisfied with the ending and the epilogue seems out of place. it wasn't really an epilogue but more of the ending. it's almost like after that bit is where there should have been an epilogue. it was just an odd wrap up but I'm sure with it being #1 of many more, that we'll see the characters again?
