ACTION

A bit wordy. Would like more action. I do like the the adherence to history.

Carries on the tradition

Really liked this sequel and look forward to the next. Love the historical research but also the geography lesson one receives as the series continues

More Peril but Sailing Through

This is a very entertaining series, and Tenacious continues the story. It is amazing how Kydd continues to advance, in spite of the dislike from commanders on his own side. He seems constantly in peril from both the enemy and the British.

Great

Masterfully written series and great performance by the reader.
Great historical fiction based on untwine fictional characters in to historical encounters.

Great book, with a small problem.

Just like with "Quarterdeck", a problem with the immersion reading starts with the 7th chapter.
There is no problem with the Audible version, but if you like to read and listen at the same time, there is a problem.
The audio reports a download problem while the moving words keep going. By the time the audio starts again, the moving words are a whole page ahead!
I think it was originally recorded on tape and then transferred to digital without realizing that there was a problem.
You can work around this, but it is a little annoying to have to turn the page by hand. And read the smaller type while listening.
I first read this book 15 years ago and it is just as good as the first time!

Rollicking Adventures

A good read when missing Patrick O’Brian. And 27 to look forward to in the future. Then Aubrey and Maturin again.
