I was shocked how well this free book was written. It’s 10x better than the insufferable fan-service pablum one finds with the Aliens franchise, for instance.

Very nice find.

So much better than other franchise lit

I liked how it brought together T1 T2 and the Sarah Connor t. v. show all together with new plot lines. Really enjoyed it. And A. I. reading it sounded like the right choice!

cool story, fills in some gaps artfully

It was very exciting to know the story before terminator 2 and after 1 very nice as well to know characters from their perspective

The best details of first character perception

This particular book, read by a standard AI voice actually enhanced this story. It is like casting Skynet as the narrator, and the omniscient narrator is observing everything with the benefit of hindsight. I imagine a T-100 reading the story in a comfy chair and a side table fashioned out of human femurs and skulls, telling the tale to the last captives of the human race before turning the gas on to send humanity to extinction just after finishing the last novelization of the last movie in the series.

2 & 1/2 hours from the end I had to stop listening because I felt my heart beating out of my chest, hand tremors, and an overwhealing sense of impending doom. 10/10.

Great story. Really filled the gaps in between T1 and T2. It also adds a ton more to the terminator lore.

Great Book!!!

Am I the only one that thinks it's creepy and weird that this title, which is about computers taking over the world, is read by AI instead of a human?? I truly hope this isn't the route that audible is starting to go.

Great story, creepy narration

I was excited about this one so I got to it on launch day and was, at first, disappointed that it was an AI reading. I still gave it a shot though and actually wasn't disappointed, though there are some hiccups here and there. It helps that the voice sounds like Sarah Connor and the story itself really is well done and fills in the gap between films 1 & 2 rather perfectly imo; the interludes were also fascinating and the time jumps in the story really worked well but you do have to be paying attention so as to not get lost.
Overall I definitely recommend it to any fan wanting more, the future parts were especially satisfying.

Most appropriate A.I. narration

I like the way that the various movies and the TV show were integrated into the story. However, alot of the stories with Sara Conner and the FBI agents divorce were unnecessary.

various parts from several movies and the TV show were mixed in.

I liked how they kept going to the past and the future and they described the goals and the plan that Skynet had and why skynet was taking action

The technical descriptions and the inner thoughts of sky net.

I disliked the ai narration, no inflection in the voice made it hard to be involved with the story a couple of times I had to go back and re listen because I myself not listening

I thought the story was good
