About this listen

Many Christian women wouldn’t identify themselves as "feminists." However, according to Courtney Reissig, we’ve all been influenced by the feminist movement in profound ways, unconsciously reflecting our culture's notions about what it means to be a woman. Helping listeners navigate a wise path in the midst of a confused world, this book chronicles the journey of a wife, mom, and successful writer as she recounts her journey from "accidental feminism" to a biblical view of womanhood. Filled with wise insights related to relationships, body image, and women's roles in the home and the Church, this thought-provoking book will help Christian women carefully consider these important issues.

Great book for any woman

I really enjoyed this book. I felt like it was a good overview of feminism, but also included a lot of great tips for any woman at any place in her journey

I really did not enjoy the voice inflections of the woman who read the book though. It felt extremely condescending all the way through.

Excellent!

I would recommend this book to all women, feminist or not. Puts feminism in perspectives that have been lost in our culture. Reminds Christian women what it means to be Christian women.

Truth

Sound teaching rooted in God's Holy Word. Every sister-in-Christ should read. Thankful for this book.

A bit repetitive

Wonderful revelations about the impact of feminism on culture at the beginning but get a bit sparse towards the end of the book. Definitely a good read but could be pared down a tad to be more concise.

A bit Trite

Would you try another book from Courtney Reissig and/or Elizabeth Whitestone?

Seemed to rehash many of the typical 'conservative evangelical' (whatever that means anymore) viewpoints without much real depth. I was expecting more original or nuanced thoughts.
