A Ray of Sunshine on a Silver Moon

Life always has it's twists and kinks, even for shifters. Some shifters are pure good. some are, well, just a bit shifty. As life events mix people or wolves, it becomes obvious that both groups have members with good and bad characteristics and with easily bruised egoes that often link to igniting tempers.

This book is about love in the pure form and about the evils that can slowly heat to the boiling point. Jealousy and greed can destroy much in moments that took a lifetime to build, or take a life to make a petty point even more meaningless.

Yet the conflicts of life are as important as those in a good book or movie. Not so much the conflict itself, but how it is handled. It is far better to observe the actions, reactions, and emotions of others before facing your own situations. Shifters might have more options, but humans have more issues.

How we handle each issue and who we share life with is not just our decision. The choice is shared with those close to us as we seek advice. Sometimes things happen so fast that there is no time to think, only react automatically and instinctly.

New generations replace older ones. New days replace yesterdays. But can time replace love?

That's how the story started for me and kept me wanting more!! I love Sil, and when he met Ray I was so excited but the idiot alpha from Ray's former pack pissed me off through the whole story lol. I really want to know more about Sil and Ray I need to know how things turn out after the ....... no spoilers but y'all know what I mean.

Very good!

This is another very good story! I loved Sil the most even though Ray was pretty awesome. The reader took a bit for me to get used to. It was the first book I've listened that Martel read but after a while I was able to get into it. This book is worth the time and worth listening to more than once!

good listen

Alpha's Lust by Preston Walker is a shifter mpreg romance. Alpha shifter Ray is kicked out of his pack and sent to mate an omega in a neighboring pack after he rejects the advances of the pack Alpha'a liar of a son. But things dont seem so bad when he meets the beautiful omega shifter Sil who doesn't let a small thing like being blind keep him from creating and selling artwork for the pack. Their story is sweet and sexy, as they learn about each other and develop a bond. There is a good dose of drama and danger as well. All the ingredients for a fun and entertaining read.

Narration by Martel Manning is well done. Clean, clear and smooth recording and voicework. Personalities and emotions shone.

Blind Love

I like the narrators voice for Sil. Sil is a near by pack alpha's blind omega son. Sil's father believes it is time for his son to be mated and to stop selling his art to the humans. For reasons unknown to Sil, Ray is chosen to be Sil's mate.
I did not like the narrators voice for Ray. The narrators voice for Ray gives me a picture of a dumb jock. The voice made me doubt Ray and over judge him for the mistakes and important details he does not share with other people. Ray's pack alpha makes him leave the his pack to mate with a omega son of a near by pack as punishment. Ray has to leave famliy and friends to the join the new pack.

Solid narrator pretty good story

This story has a good narrator and I really enjoyed hearing about Sil and his development as a character that being said this was a good story and I like the way it developed, but not my favorite by the author. Still a really enjoyable story to listen to.

Ray & Sil

While I enjoyed the overall story, Sil's father automatically believing a stranger sits wrong with me, especially after the discussion he and Ray just had. I am grateful Sil was so much stronger than anyone else.

Love always wins out in the end

This story is full of angst, deceit and lies, told by people who did not want Ray and Sil to get their happy ever after. But in the end they won and walked over everyone and got what they both needed and wanted. I really rooted for these two guys and was so glad to see that they did not give up and realized that what they needed and wanted was worth fighting for. Mr. Manning's narration added to the over all listening enjoyment of this book. An avid reader in Rock Tavern, NY.

omega's lust

The head alpha panders to the lies of his spoiled son Maren. and Ray gets sent to another pack to marry. Immature, jealous, power hungry, and soulless Maren continues to wreak havoc to get Ray back. So much evil in Ray's old pack!!! Loss and sadness, but a ray of hope survives with Sil and hope for the future . I felt empathy with Ray and Sil and hoped for the best for them. What a wild ride!! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job.

Absolutely loved it!

I loved this story! It's a complex tale of drama, emotion, wounds and scars, lies, betrayal, obsession, love, and healing. The main characters of Sil and Ray are fantastic. I loved the way that Ray opened up to Sil in spite of his traumatic past and all he had suffered, and I adored Sil who worked hard to help his pack, even if his father didn't understand or support him. I loved the way Sil went out to help Ray, even when the other people in Sil's family didn't support or believe him. I loved the depiction of hm as strong and capable even with his disability! There was a little more blood and violence at the end than I was expecting, but I still loved the story.

Wonderful narration. Great voices; great pace and delivery. A++

I received a copy of his audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this honest review.
