Sherlockian Style Mystery

If you enjoy the Christopher Lee and Basil Rathbone versions of Sherlock then you will enjoy this series of two dramas. They are a lot like the old radio dramas with sound effects.

The first story “Mayflower Court Flats” was better than the second “Manor House Mystery” story. Mayflower introduces the Armchair Detective “Old Tom” and our protagonist reporter Trench.

Manor House was a bit far fetched in its logic. In particular “the no G” mystery.

Saved by the performances.

I was Lords of these because I like short Mysteries. these are surprisingly easy to figure out before the ending. But I did enjoy the performances by both voice actors.

Greatness!

Books like this make me miss the old time radio. The performances were great the armchair detective what does good as ever. If you like OTR an old-time detective work or even if you just like Nero Wolfe or a bumbling Sherlock Holmes. This is the book for you I loved it and can’t wait to hear more!

British Mysteries

Really enjoyed both of these mysteries! Old Tom and Trench are quite the characters. Definitely recommend.

good

Lively and entertaining. Some humor with sleuthing. I enjoyed it I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrators were entertaining.

Fun and short- just what I needed!

This was two funny, basically short stories, that passed an hour and a half of dreary car driving time perfectly! Originally thought it would be for the kids, since it was rather short. But it was above the head of my 10-year-old and the accents threw off my 13-year-old (both antsy boys) However I loved it! There are only two actors, but they create a number of distinct characters and voices even though all of the characters had a variance of British accents.

The mysteries themselves are fairly simple and not difficult to solve quite a bit sooner than the detective in the story, but it was still fun listening to the banter between the two journalists who solved each mystery.

If you want a couple of short stories to pass some time, nothing too heavy, nothing too serious, nothing too lengthy, this is a perfect fit. And I am sure there are other children who would enjoy it tremendously.

Enjoyable

These are two enjoyable stories, with good narration by Kevin and Sara. Reminds me of radio days, with them using different voices and effects. Well done, Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
