About this listen
It all started when Jeff Guinn was assigned to write a piece full of little-known facts about Christmas for his paper, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram. A few months later, he received a call from a gentleman who told him that he showed the story to an important friend who didn’t think much of it. And who might that be? asked Jeff. The next thing he knew, he was whisked off to the North Pole to meet with this “very important friend,” and the rest is, well, as they say, history.
An enchanting holiday treasure, The Autobiography of Santa Claus combines solid historical fact with legend to deliver the definitive story of Santa Claus. And who better to lead us through 17 centuries of Christmas magic than good ol’ Saint Nick himself? Families will delight in each chapter of this new Christmas classic - one per each cold December night leading up to Christmas!

Story
Thirteen-time #1 national bestselling author Glenn Beck realized years ago that somewhere along the way, his four children had become more focused on Santa than the meaning of Christmas. No matter how he tried, he could not redirect their attention away from presents and elves to the manger instead. Glenn didn't want to be the Grinch who spoiled the magic of Kris Kringle, so he had to find a unique way to turn his kids back toward the true meaning of Christmas. He decided the best place to start was by first turning Santa himself back toward Christ.

The architect of The Wizard of Oz delves into the mythological beginnings of the jolly old elf himself. Baum created a mythological world in which the magical forest of Burzee, created at the beginning of time, is the main source of all otherworldly magical power. Ak, the Master Woodsman ruled the forests; Kern, the Master Husbandman of the World, ruled the food crops; Bo, the Master Mariner of the World, ruled the seas. All other immortals are subject to these three.

I would like to rate this book a 3.5
A 3.5 review. Way better than 3 stars but not worthy of 4 stars. Audio book was more like a history book listen. Not what I expected. Peppered with historical figures that helped Santa along his way through history. Must say very full of imagination. The last quarter of the book was a fun listen. I will think about finishing the series.

My Favorite Christmas Story
I have the book... I have the original Audiobook...and now I have this new Audible version. I was sort of hoping it was going to be in dramatic form with several voice actors. But that is my only disappointment. I love the book and the voice actor does a good job! I hope we will be getting the other two books eventually. Great Job!
