About this listen

From the same author that brought you the Flint series, comes a new town...a new drama. Treasure Hernandez is back with her second street series chronicling both sides of Baltimore's black market. Derek Fuller is the head detective of the Baltimore Narcotics Division. His team has been assigned to take down the biggest drug operation in the city. There's only one problem...the head of the operation is his twin brother, Scar Johnson. Separated in Baltimore's foster care system, they came from two different walks of life, but both met at the top on opposite sides of the law. With the Assistant District Attorney in their back pocket, this was a marriage made in heaven - until the drama and deceit enters. Delve into this treacherous story of love, deceit, lies, and murder. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and once one brother feels betrayed, the only retribution is death.

A Winner Selection - Love books by TH

What I loved about this book was two very distinct things it was 18 hours long and it was GOOOOOOD! I like long books, but only if they are good. The narrator, what a voice, yummm (sorry), but it added to the entire project. I live near B-more on the Virginia side and have heard about the wire etc, so to draw from that knowledge base made it so true. This was like a movie in my head. A great love, widespread corruption, deception, karma like a MUG, lol, politics, book smart w/o street smart and vice versa. Wont disappoint!

Baltimore Chronicles by Treasure Hernandez

If you could sum up The Baltimore Chronicles in three words, what would they be?

I really enjoyed all four volumes. The twists and turns in the book had me on the edge of my seat. It took me awhile to listen to the entire four volumes because I wanted to pace myself to 30 minutes per evening. The characters were full of surprises.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Baltimore Chronicles?

The attorney's role in the plot.

What about Jules Williamson’s performance did you like?

The narrator really switched from character to character smoothly and left an imaginative impression of all the scenes.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If there were more hours in a day, I could have listened to this in all one sitting.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this audio book.

Same Job different location.

Would you listen to The Baltimore Chronicles again? Why?
YES, Just like when you invision what you read b/c the story is so good. I was a able to see an even more defined story b/c of how well Jules Wilamson narrated the story as well as Treasure Hernandez kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.

What other book might you compare The Baltimore Chronicles to and why?
CAN'T THINK OF ONE AT THIS TIME BC OF HOW DIFFERENT IT IS FROM OTHER THINGS THAT I'VE READ.

What does Jules Williamson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Jules really gives so much more personality to each character not just visually but mentally as well. Kinda like when ever see I see or hear something one of the characters comes to mind.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Tiphani became circuit judge and when the mayor is knocked down to the lower that lever he see things as and all that he goes thru.

Any additional comments?
All 4 are amust read and must listen to. I will definitely will be listening to it again
