About this listen

WREN

Moms are good at one thing: the guilt trip. It’s the only reason I’m at the funeral of a man I’ve never had anything to do with.

I’ll show up, make her happy, and get out.

At least that’s what I think until I learn daddy dearest has left me a crap load of money and the obligation to learn about the family business. All from his eldest son who looks nothing like the rest of us.

Darcy is the only Ritcherson who doesn’t treat me like the bastard son that I am. He helps me learn, pushes me to be better, and as we work together, we grow closer. For a gazillionaire with a media empire at his fingertips, he’s surprisingly humble.

And sweet.

And saying things he shouldn’t be saying.

The thing is, Mom swears she was never a mistress. Swears she was the only one Dad was seeing when she fell pregnant with me. But with Darcy only a few weeks older, there’s no way that can be the case.

Unless …

Unless the things he whispers when he thinks I’m not listening mean something. The guilt in his eyes when he looks at me would make sense.

If Darcy isn’t my father’s biological child, he’s not the Ritcherson heir.

I am.

And everything Darcy holds dear should be mine.

A very good listen

So many gay romance novels have the same plot and stepbrother plots are plentiful. This one was a little more complicated than others but in the long run it's still a HEA romance novel. I prefer something unique, darker and more stimulating. Still it's a good read and I think the narrators were fine but I prefer just one narrator and a single POV.

Little different twist on familiar plot

The twists are a bit predictable but it is a cute story, a relatable tale for many, minus the billionaires lol

Loved the story, characters, challenges they faced and the narration, especially by James Joseph was exceptional. I’ve listened probably 4 times in the last week or so. At the end of the kindle book, I saw the author included a playlist and pairing those songs with this story broke my heart for these characters and I’ve had to keep visiting them. Love these authors!

I enjoyed this book immensely. The narrators did an amazing job. I actually laughed out loud at times.

The story was ok. the narrating really had me shaking my head. this book right here is a prime example of why there should be more duet narrating. the writing of this duo is always really good, but this time the story telling kinda knocked it down a few pegs. I love both of these narrator's I just wish they had both only read their characters parts. can't love them all... this one was okay.

Needed Duet narrating

The chemistry between Darcy and Wren was off the charts, and I loved both of their characters so much (even if Darcy was a little bit too much of a martyr at times). Their story was emotional and intense, ans definitely put me through the wringer but I loved every minute of it!

Fantastic!

I have waited for the audiobook and it did not disappoint. Narration brought life to the perfect story.

Interesting story…just thought the ending dragged on a little too much, but I liked the characters and although the British accents didn’t register as authentic to me, I appreciated the effort.
