Publisher's summary

They were the chosen ones - and the ones who chose to be the best. Never before had the United States given so select a group of fighting men such punishing preparation. Now they were heading for their ultimate test of skill and nerve and sacrifice, in a war unlike any they or their country had ever fought before, in a land that most of America still knew nothing about - Vietnam...

Critic reviews

“Griffin has captured the rhythms of army life and speech, its rewards and deprivations... Captivating.” ( Publishers Weekly)

Fort Brag

Great Book…. Brings back great memories. From Fort Benning to Brag…. You can almost hear the Cadence in the early morning runs.

As good as the rest of the series

One of the things I enjoy about the author’s series is how he changes the history of his characters from book to book. He doesn’t disappoint with this one either. That said, it is a really good ‘read’.

Great Author Great Series

The characters are easy to follow and to root for. The story is believable. As a timepiece it's filled with nuance (if that's the right word), but what always bothers me about most military books are how inaccurate they are about the details of military "life". They are like watching an actor who doesn't smoke fumble with a cigarette in a movie. This authors details are both accurate and make suspension of disbelief very easy. If the author is not a veteran then his research is PhD worthy

Reliably outstanding!

I continue to thoroughly enjoy each book in this series and I dread the day when I reach the end of the last one.

Good Listen

The narrator does a good job, however, mispronouncing military acronyms and terms is noticeable. I attribute this to not being familiar with the lingo.
Otherwise good listen.

Griffin at his best

Brotherhood of War is the series that introduced me to WEB Griffin. All of these characters are like old friends. I was so excited when I saw that the series was being offered by Audible.

Great Story

Overall production excellent. U.S. ARMY veteran's critique: Narrator should probably learn U.S. military pro-words, terms & abbreviations (not always easy) before performance. Otherwise, excellent!
