ARMOR: The Complete Series chronicles the journey of a tank crew through the Second World War, from North Africa to Berlin. Action-packed, authentic, and filled with flawed but tough men of the Greatest Generation, ARMOR drops you straight into the horror, brotherhood, and triumph of armored warfare.

You'll fight alongside the crew as they go head-to-head with Tigers at Kasserine Pass, race to Palermo in Sicily, land during the horrific first assault wave at Omaha Beach, crash against the Norman hedgerows, make a stand against Hitler's last blitzkrieg in the Battle of the Bulge, and batter their way into the heart of Nazi Germany. All the while, you'll live with the crew in the cramped, noisy, and vulnerable fighting machine that was the American Sherman tank.

ARMOR: The Complete Series puts together for the first time all five episodes in Craig DiLouie's historical military fiction action & adventure series: The Battle of North Africa, The Fight for Sicily, Fortress Europe, The Bulge, and Reich's Fall.

I enjoyed this series of books. After finishing the Crash Dive series from this author, I was looking forward to this series and Mr. Dilouie did not disappoint. Lots of action. The characters are well-developed. And as the series went on I grew more attached to them. I felt the author did a good job blending action with historical description, and struck a decent balance developing fully rounded characters. The books follow a crew through Africa and the European campaign of WWII, ending with the fall of Nazi Germany.

Gritty WWII Combat Stories

Easy listening story line with decent characters. Rooted with seriousness and humor at some points. Brings a certain amount of vividness to the story, similar to his other series "Crash Dive".

Great series of books

Great characters, well read and a good guide on the European phase of WW II.

Great series in one stop.

Easy listen. Good story. I’d find myself listening to only five minutes at a time if that’s all I had.

Good story and narration

This was a tremendous story about the war in North Africa and Europe, about the bonds of battle forged between strangers who become brothers, and the horrors of war that can last well beyond its end.

Great tale of bravery and perserverance

22 hours long and I wish there was another 22 to listen to. The author mixes character development, technical detail, action and foxhole philosophy in an enthralling story. Its fun, insightful and engaging. I only gave the performance 4 stars because the sound effects occasionally sound a touch cheezy. This is the first audiobook I look forward to listening to again.

Great Story but Too Short

Pardon the pun, but Craig DiLouie and Garrett Michael Brown have “blown me away” with this book series!!! As a military history enthusiast, i’ve often wondered what the life of a tanker must have been like during WWII …. Now I Know! I found the storyline through each book to be absolutely riveting! And Garrett Michael Brown’s narration was nothing short of brilliant I listen to A LOT of books each month and I can honestly say that this may be the best performance I’ve ever heard.

Great story, Great characters and Amazing narration!

Having read tens of books on WW2 I thought I can't be intrigued, boy was I wrong held my attention and sometimes my breath it was an absolute joy. Also since I'm very well acquainted with the battles and equipment of ww2 I was surprised at the historical accuracy of the locations events and dates. what's more every event/battle described actually accrued, the narrator also did an outstanding job was very entertaining

Highly recommended!!!

One of the best books on WW2

Realistic description of what it takes to actually operate a Sherman. Clear eyed writing about the personal clashes and growth of young men in a horrible situation. Very insightful use of literature and literary figures to delve into the meaning of war. And a solid performance. Really liked this.

Great listen on many levels
