Lifes Way

Like the author I too find greater connection to spirit in the deeper solitary states. A good get together is nice on occasion and I think validating in many ways but the most powerful connections come in ways that undivided attention ensures that you wont "miss out" on. I hope for more in the future from this great writer.

I strongly suggest the path to Drury first buy Penny Billington. This phenomenal book on Hedge druidry is a great building block.

A really good little primer!

This is a really good little primer on the subject of being a hedge Druid in the 21st Century world.

great book!

I have been on a pagan path for more than 30 years and still found this book to be informative and inspiring. While I do not agree with every single detail for my own path, it is worth a listen... or read, if you prefer.

Grounding and informative

I enjoyed the visualizations and rituals described here. I find it always lovely to see how other people apply ceremony and ritual into their lives. There is no wrong way. A lovely book full of intent. The term “Seeking the Spirit of Sovereignty” was one of many that hit home for me. Totally recommend.

Overall a great read and listen; informative.

**Narration has been updated!**

This book has been recently re-recorded and the mispronunciations have been corrected. Overall, the book is informative and a pleasant listen. I've played through it a few times and have found more than a few passages to go back and highlight.

Amazing source of reference

I have listened to this book several times now and have also purchased the accompanying books. What a gem it truly is. I love the narrator except for the pronunciation of anything with -ation at the end of the word.

Poor narrator

This is a fairly good book on the subject matter, but listeners should be warned that the narrator butchers the pronunciation of even the more common words you’ll encounter in this sort of material. It’s bizarre and almost inexcusable that no one with oversight on the production of the audiobook couldn’t be bothered to provide the narrator with a pronunciation guide or review the recording after the fact to discover that so many things were mispronounced. I’d definitely recommend the print version of this book, but the narrators mispronunciations are so prominent and frequent that it distracts from the material in the audio version

Excellent book - horrible narrator

Hedge Druidry is filled with great information. Van der Hoeven tells a great story . Thought-provoking comments are found throughout the entire book. The writing is clear, scholarship sound, and the concepts are very well explained. Unfortunately the narrator drove me bonkers. Uncorrected mispronunciations litter the book. I'm not talking about the difficult Celtic words though after about the 20th mispronunciation of SamHain I had to skip chapter 6 on the Wheel of the Year, I'm referring to English words and Anglo names. I don't know who produced this mess, but their standards were not very high.
