I freaking love this book!

As someone who has been walking her path for nearly 15 years, I tend to be very critical of 101 style books, but this is a foundational book for witches/pagans/heathens of all kinds. You'll be encouraged to explore your path and to be honest with yourself without bekng told how to do so. I loved every min of the read and laughed a bunch. Enjoy!

very refreshing

This author take a very refreshing common sense approach to the path. She brings back the simple ways of doing things. There are very few authors, I would like to sit down and talk with. I would sit down and eat sticky rice and soy sauce anytime with (something from the book.)

thought provoking read

Definitely one to reread many times. Very well written and well read. Many great topics dissected in the best way. I loved this so much.

Great for beginners and as a refresher

Information in this book was straight up and a good read. the only difficulty I had with this book was the narrator. The audiobook is read by someone who must think they are a sportscaster or some sort of news anchor. I felt like I was listening to the 11:00 News or 20/20 every time I got into the audiobook.

Pristine material

Refreshing, authentic, down to earth perspective on what it means to be a witch in the world! Hats off to the author! So appreciate the breaking down of arbitrary structures that create barriers, thus normalizing being a normal human witch!

The narrators voice is a bit grating...she occasionally mispronounces words, which lends to a suspicion that she may not be part of the witchcraft community. She enunciates carefully, but seems like she may be an outsider. Hopefully this was a pleasant learning experience for her!

Great book and author, horrible narration

I used this audio in conjunction with reading the physical book. This is my first experience with an audio book. The book itself is wonderful and felt like having lunch with a friend. It's more of a discussion and less of a "how to", there are no rules and instructions, mostly guidance and reassurance. I agree with the other reviews, the choice of narrator is atrocious. She doesn't fit the subject matter at all and it's pretty distracting.

Balm for the Witch’s Souls

Weaving together spirituality, magick, and practical insight together – Tempest makes traditional witchcraft not only applicable in one’s everyday life but as individually unique as the soul of every witch that reads it. The book is extremely inspiring and written with wit, humor, poetry, power, and wisdom. Weave the Liminal: Living Modern Traditional Witchcraft will enrich not only your understanding of witchcraft, but your connection to the forces which are integral to witchcraft itself — including the self — while inspiring the listener to forge a path that is uniquely their own.

Weaving on a shared loom

I feel as if I've been trading time at the same loom Laura used when she wove the tapestry of this book. Some of what she put down here resonated deeply with what I myself have been trying to describe about my path over the past 2+ decades. Of course, she did so far more eloquently, and and in a way that has touched me deeply.

Thank you, Laura, for this thought-provoking journey.

Must read for beginning witches.

Great boon that breaks down how exactly to form your own path. I recommend this for newbies and advanced practitioners alike.

narration is excruciating

please try the sample before buying. I waited for this title to come out for so long and immediately bought it. when I began to listen I couldn't believe my ears. I couldn't focus on the content at all due to the over dramatized over exaggerated annunciation. I love the author... wrong choice in narrator.
