The material and book itself are incredible. I had to restart the book so many times because the voice of the narrator was just terrible. The voice of the narrator is so important and can really make or break whether you can even get through the first few pages. I ended up buying a hard copy to read myself.

At least listen to sample for yourself instead of basing it on negative review. I already own the hard copy but wanted a version I can listen to at work. I was going to pass because one review said poor narration. I have enough books on here to understand how a bad performance can ruin a great book. I bought anyway and never found a problem. The narrator sounds good to me. Even better knowing he revised and edited the book. I like the idea of the reader being serious about the subject he is reading. I am glad I bought.

This is a book I've been wanting to read and when I saw it in audiobook I jumped at it. I immediately regretted it. The recording is poor. There seems to be a muffledness in the person's voice which I think is how it was recorded. The voice is also without a lot of inflection but in a bit of singsong which lulls you into daydreaming rather than paying attention to the words.

This recording is awful. The guy is whispering and breathing heavy into the microphone. There’s way too much base and mouth breathing.
Very difficult to hear and almost impossible to focus on what’s being said.

It’s hard to understand because of the narrator. Then, there’s a sound effect done to the narrators voice. I like the content though. Great content.
