About this listen

Bright red flames emerge with the strike of a match, devouring everything in sight...

Stefan Korzh's desire to destroy the lives of everyone around him knows no bounds. Even as he's hunted by enemies, Stefan shows no signs of slowing down. His deadly collection of antiques continues to spread and help his dreams become reality.

Meanwhile, Victor Daniels and Tom Crane have managed to build some resemblance of an ordinary life. They remain more determined than ever in their fight against Stefan and will stop at nothing to put an end to the horrors of the Korzh collection. But life tends to take nasty turns when ghosts are involved.

Stefan's latest threat is the fire-obsessed Molly, whose deadly ghost emerges from the pages of a novel. With the simple flick of a match, she satisfies her addiction for scorching buildings and burning flesh. Victor and Tom quickly find themselves in the middle of a bloody trail of chaos chasing after an enemy that will test the limits of their strength. And they must hurry. Because it doesn't take long before Molly craves her next fiery fix.

Little girl arsonist

I loved this book about a ghost who loves to set fires. This story continues to tell the story of Victor and Tom and their fight to find Stephan.
All the books in this series are great to read and listen to in my case. I will continue to read more from this author.

Another excellent book in the series

An excellent story with an especially evil ghost. The whole series flows together very well. Thom Bowers does an outstanding narration.

Burning For A Good Time

When a pyromaniac ghost is set loose, flames are literally licking at the edges of each page. Molly can't help herself, as setting fires has been something she has been doing for ages. Victor and Tom are working to stop her as quickly as possible - without getting caught in the flames themselves.

Fabulous read, and ohhh, it was hard to put down!

Better and better.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I know I've said that before but it totally does!!! There is so many things happening at the same time, that you don't know what to expect!! Book 5 sees Stefan Korzh unleashing the fire bug that is Molly! Molly loves fire and when her book is acquired by a hoarder, she finds an unsuspecting boy and creates havoc in the form of burning buildings and people. Victor and Tom have to stop her before it's too late. Tom also has to deal with a ghost of his own who wants control over him! Stefan is still being his creepy self. Nicholas and Ariana will try anything to get to Stefan and Anne is still on the loose.

The plot of this one was a little darker than previous ones. Molly loves fire and loves seeing it burn everything and anything. Her book comes into the hands of a creepy hoarder dude who has some serious problems!! This guy is one of the creepiest characters I've read in a while too!! Anyway, reading about Molly gave me the creeps, she was one messed up girl.

Tom is really growing up! I liked that he is trying to have a bit of normal in all the madness. Himself and Iris are so cute!! I'm intrigued to know more about Ezekiel too and am loving the introduction of Chaos and can't wait to see more of him in future books. All the characters were well written and developed, and you can't help but like them!!

In all, this was the best in the series so far. It was extremely fast paced and entertaining. I'm loving this series and am always on the lookout for the next one.

Thom Bowers is also getting better with each passing book. His accents and tones were great here and he captured the tone of the book perfectly. Bring on book 6!!!

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

I LOVED IT!!!

This series just keeps getting better and better. Poor little Tom seems to be growing into a young Shane (minus the alcoholism) but he's pretty adaptable so far. The young romance blossoming between him and Iris makes me laugh. How like teenagers to claim love when they really don't even know each other.

I like how Tom's part is getting bigger and how Victor doesn't treat him like a child. I don't like how he keeps secrets from Victor though. It's not cool. But it shows that he's still a teen so it's understandable and believable.

Molly is an interesting new ghost. I wish we had gotten more of her backstory in the bonus chapters but what we got was still really cool. I was curious about Jonothan and also wished we had gotten more about him. I thought his story would've been cool.

As always, Bowers did a great job. I'm looking forward to future books from this series.

Great addition to the series!

The horror continues with a truly sadistic young ghost who inhabits the body of a child. This one brought me to the very edge of my comfort zone. Ron Ripley and Thom Bowers have mastered the art of delivering horrific tales in startling gruesome detail!

This book was about my biggest fear. Bad dreams.

Fire has always been my biggest fear. To think that a ghost could cause it, is something I hadn’t thought about until this book. It gave me a few bad dreams. Read it if you dare!

Another solid winner from Ripley!

The Haunted Collection series keeps delivering. The girl on fire is quite disturbed. I cringed in some spots of the novel and was glad when Victor and Tom did what they do best, eliminate the entities from this insane collection of haunted items. Oh my! The hoarder was one of those ancillary characters that sticks with you like a splinter under a fingernail. I'm looking at my "accidental" twice bought books with new suspicion now.

There are a lot of intriguing characters in this series. Nicolas, Ezekiel, Ariana, Guy, Anne, Iris, the list goes on. It will be interesting to see what happens to them as the series progresses. What is for certain is that no one is safe in these pages. Not even the baddies.

I'm enjoying how Tom is maturing into a right fine ghost slayer. I like how he sees Victor as a father figure. Whether intended or not, there is a theme of fatherhood/mentoring explored in this series. There's a nice contrast of positive role models versus the destructive force of poor parental influences. It adds yet another layer to the characters, to the books. Looking forward to more.

Thom Bowers is perfect for narration. He does an amazing job with voices. He always transports me into the story. Ripley and Bowers make a great team!

Lastly, The Burning Girl cover deserves some praise too. It's a gorgeous composition. Thank the artist.
