Story
For too long, women have been approaching menopause with a sense of dread and finality. Often, they don't want to talk about it until they're undeniably experiencing it—and even then might suffer symptoms in silence, either embarrassed to speak openly, or dejectedly resigned to thinking that years of discomfort and mood swings are just unavoidable. An M.D. with an appealing east-meets-west approach to women's health, Dr. Tasneem (known as Dr. Taz) has spent her career battling these outdated stereotypes and mindsets.

Story
We are living in the age of anxiety, a situation that often makes us feel as if we are locked into an endless cycle of stress, sleeplessness, and worry. But what if we had a way to leverage our anxiety to help us solve problems and fortify our well-being? What if, instead of seeing anxiety as a curse, we could recognize it for the unique gift that it is? As a neuroscientist, Dr. Wendy Suzuki has discovered a paradigm-shifting truth about anxiety: Yes, it is uncomfortable, but it is also essential for our survival. In fact, anxiety is a key component of our ability to live optimally.

If You're In My Office, It's Already Too Late. James Sexton knows this. After dealing with over 1000 clients whose marriages have dissolved over everything from an ill-advised threesome with the nanny to the uneven division of carpool duties, he also knows all of the what- not-to-dos for couples who want to build - and consistently work to preserve - a lasting, fulfilling relationship. Described by former clients as a "courtroom gunslinger" and "the sociopath you want on your side", Sexton tells the unvarnished truth about relationships. These usually derive from dishonest communication.

Publisher's summary
From brain doctor and Chief Wellness Officer Dr. Romie, an eye-opening revolution to treat anxiety, ADHD, and burnout crisis - known as a Busy Brain.
Are you wearing stress as a badge of honor or resigned to feeling stuck in the hustle culture? The reality is that chronic stress kills. Just ask Dr. Romie Mushtaq who suffered from career burnout and underwent life-saving surgery. And as a brain doctor, she should have known better. Dr. Romie embarked on a global journey to research and heal the negative impact of the stress responses on our brains, bodies, and teams. The solution led to this eye-opening book for professionals eager to break the relentless cycles of stress, anxiety, and burnout.
While traditional medicine treats anxiety, adult-onset ADHD, and insomnia as separate issues, Dr. Romie identifies them as symptoms of a “Busy Brain.” Busy Brain results from chronic unchecked stress and burnout.
The Busy Brain Cure is an integrated approach to heal the root cause of ADD/ADHD, anxiety, and insomnia, while also transforming the conversation on mental health and workplace wellness.
In this book, you’ll learn how to:
- Overcome the stimulant-sedative cycle, reducing dependence on caffeine by day and sleep aids at night.
- Heal your Busy Brain without resorting to fad diets or cleanses. Embrace comfort food choices that combat stress, and move away from the toxic diet culture.
- Use the 8-week brainSHIFT Protocol for better sleep, increased energy, and sustained focus.
- Heal the root cause of attention deficit disorder (ADD), anxiety, and insomnia without addictive medications.
- Based on twenty years of clinical research and experience, this book introduces a simple and easy to implement 8-week plan to heal the root cause of burnout.
The Busy Brain Cure is for C-Suite executives, leaders, athletes, entrepreneurs, and high-achieving professionals who want evidence-based strategies to improve their mental well-being. Dr. Romie combines her expertise and research in brain science with ancient wisdom, compelling storytelling, and her distinct humor so will can laugh, heal, and tame your Busy Brain.

Words. We use them all the time, every day, mostly without giving them much thought at all. We take for granted that they’re here at our disposal whenever we need them. But if you’ve ever wished you could communicate more effectively, words are the place to start. It’s incumbent upon you to choose the best words to accomplish your goals, because how you choose to communicate influences—well, everything! The power of communication shapes our professional goals, our relationships, and our lives—so the words we choose to use carry a great deal of power.

Tedious
I could not finish listening to this. She’s obsessed with repeatedly telling the reader all about what Prada shoes she was wearing and her expensive silk blouses, etc, etc. Completely irrelevant and quite frankly distracting!

First and foremost, I must commend you on your expertise and knowledge in the field of brain health and mindfulness. Your book provides a comprehensive and insightful guide to understanding and managing the busy brain, which is a prevalent issue in today's fast-paced world.
One aspect of the book that I found particularly valuable was your emphasis on the importance of mindfulness and self-care. I appreciated how you explained the science behind mindfulness and its positive effects on our mental and physical well-being. Your personal anecdotes and case studies added a relatable and human touch to the book, making it easy for readers to connect with the material.
Furthermore, I found your writing style to be clear, concise, and engaging. You have a talent for explaining complex concepts in a way that is accessible to readers of all backgrounds. The book flowed smoothly from one chapter to the next, and I appreciated the logical progression of ideas.
In addition to the valuable information and practical advice, I also appreciated the overall positive and uplifting tone of the book. It was evident that your intention was not only to educate but also to inspire and empower readers to take control of their busy brains and live a more balanced and fulfilling life. Your passion for helping others shines through in every page, and it is truly inspiring.

too much advertising
sounds like a good program and I look forward to trying these techniques. the author is constantly "calling you to action" to go to the website where no doubt you will find the next CTA. the book would be much more powerful if she just backed off the marketing and let the message be the focus

Waste of time. All about the author, not you.
Crap. It was all about her own struggles with almost no useful information on how you can train your brain.

Not worth it. Watch Her Ted Talk.
The story takes two hours to tell. Slow start, no. It's agonizing.
I know the author reads all her reviews.
You should redo this audible.
I can't return on Audible.
Out of the 100+ books in my library, this is the worst!
