About this listen

Widely respected as a civil libertarian, legal educator, and defense attorney extraordinaire, Alan M. Dershowitz has also been a passionate though not uncritical supporter of Israel. In this audiobook, he presents an ardent defense of Israel's rights, supported by indisputable evidence. Dershowitz takes a close look at what Israel's accusers and detractors are saying about this war-torn country. He accuses those who attack Israel of international bigotry and backs up his argument with hard facts.

Besides being very well written and always kept me engaged, it is wonderful overview and history of the essential Israel Arab/Muslim dilemma. It's still relevant in 2024.

Factual and very objective

Some of the history he'd details of which I was unaware. Providing the critiques of Israel at the beginning of each chapter was helpful in understanding conflicts and alternative opinions.

Dershowitz does a great job enumerating the arguments for and against Israel, and by extension, the Jews. It’s uncanny how it describes the situation to that continues to this day.

Very insightful-holds true today.

Now it all makes sense, and I’m going to listen to it all over again, to take it deep into my head

Enjoyed every second of it.

I had hoped more facts and figures would be included, but it is in the format of a persuasive argument rather than a historical account. Still an informative and worthwhile book.
The narrator is good and easy to understand. However, it would have been better if the quoted segments (in which the author is quoting an argument made by a particular person) had been distinguished more clearly.

Worthwhile read; formatted as an argument rather than a history

Though this book is written years ago sadly not much has changed. I admire Professor Dershowitz for taking the time to write on this subject. Though I disagree on some of his conclusions, one thing is for sure Professor Dershowitz cares about the truth and is an advocate for peace.

The arguments were cogent, organized, and understandable.
