About this listen
In War Against the Jews: How to End Hamas Barbarism, Alan Dershowitz—#1 New York Times bestselling author and one of America’s most respected legal scholars—explains why the horrific attack of Oct 7 and Israel’s just response changes everything.
It has changed the relationship between Israel and the United States, especially with regard to the possibility of direct American intervention.
It has required Israel to consider its nuclear option as a last resort to assure its survival.
It has revealed dangerous attitudes among America’s future leaders on today’s college campuses toward Israel’s possible destruction.
It has exposed media biases that have been exacerbated with Israel’s vulnerabilities.
It has united Israelis and Jews around the world as never before, despite the deep divisions among them politically, religiously, and ideologically. Nothing will ever be the same.
It has clouded the future of peace between Israel and its Arab and Muslim neighbors and has diminished the proposals for a peaceful resolution of the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
It has made predictions about the future of the region nearly impossible, except that imposing instability is inevitable.
In this short book, Dershowitz analyzes these transforming events and suggests how to move forward.

Story
In 1948, seven hundred thousand Palestinians were forced out of their homes by the first Arab-Israeli War. More than seventy years later, most of their houses are long gone, but millions of their descendants are still registered as refugees, with many living in refugee camps. This group—unlike countless others that were displaced in the aftermath of World War II and other conflicts—has remained unsettled, demanding to settle in the state of Israel. Their belief in a "right of return" is one of the largest obstacles to successful diplomacy and lasting peace in the region.

Story
The Palestinian Delusion is unique in situating the Israeli/Palestinian conflict within the context of the global jihad that has found renewed impetus in the latter portion of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. Briskly recounting the tumultuous history of the "peace process", Robert Spencer demonstrates that the determination of diplomats, policymakers, and negotiators to ignore this aspect of the conflict has led the Israelis, the Palestinians, and the world down numerous blind alleys. This has often only exacerbated, rather than healed, this conflict.

Story
Since Hamas's attack on Israel last October 7, the term "settler colonialism" has become central to public debate in the United States. A concept new to most Americans, but already established and influential in academic circles, settler colonialism is shaping the way many people think about the history of the United States, Israel and Palestine, and a host of political issues. This short book is the first to examine settler colonialism critically for a general audience.

Story
On October 27, 2018, 11 Jews were gunned down as they prayed at their synagogue in Pittsburgh. It was the deadliest attack on Jews in American history. For most Americans, the massacre at Tree of Life, the synagogue where Bari Weiss became a bat mitzvah, came as a total shock. But anti-Semitism is the oldest hatred, commonplace across the Middle East and on the rise for years in Europe. So that terrible morning in Pittsburgh raised a question Americans can no longer avoid: Could it happen here? This audiobook is Weiss' answer.

Story
October 2023 marks the fiftieth anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, a conflict that shaped the modern Middle East. The War was a trauma for Israel, a dangerous superpower showdown, and, following the oil embargo, a pivotal reordering of the global economic order. The Jewish State came shockingly close to defeat. After the war, Prime Minister Golda Meir resigned in disgrace, and a 9/11-style commission investigated the "debacle." But, argues Uri Kaufman, from the perspective of a half century, the War can be seen as a pivotal victory for Israel.

But, did you know that Islam teaches that Muslims must wage war to impose Islamic law on non-Muslim states, or that American Muslim groups are engaged in a huge cover-up of Islamic doctrine? These and other "politically incorrect" facts are revealed by Robert Spencer in The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades).

Story
In spring 1936, the Holy Land erupted in a rebellion that targeted both the local Jewish community and the British Mandate authorities. The Great Arab Revolt would last three years, cost thousands of lives, and cast the trajectory for the Middle East conflict. The revolt was the crucible in which Palestinian identity coalesced, uniting all in a single struggle for independence. Yet the rebellion would ultimately turn on itself. British forces' aggressive counterinsurgency took care of the rest, finally quashing the uprising on the eve of World War II.

Story
At a time when Israel is under persistent attack - on the battlefield, by international organizations, and in the court of public opinion - Alan Dershowitz presents a powerful case for Israel’s just war against terrorism. In the spirit of his international best-seller, The Case for Israel, Dershowitz shows why Israel's struggle against Hamas is a fight not only to protect its own citizens, but for all democracies. The nation-state of the Jewish people is providing a model for all who are threatened by terrorist groups.

Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

In the spirit of his international best-seller, The Case for Israel, Dershowitz shows why Israel's struggle against Hamas is a fight not only to protect its own citizens, but for all democracies. The nation-state of the Jewish people is providing a model for all who are threatened by terrorist groups.

Israel is a tiny state, and yet it has captured the world's attention, aroused its imagination, and, lately, been the object of its opprobrium. Why does such a small country speak to so many global concerns? More pressingly: Why does Israel make the decisions it does? And what lies in its future? We cannot answer these questions until we understand Israel's people and the questions and conflicts, the hopes and desires, that have animated their conversations and actions.

Excellent Content; Narrator needs work
Dershowitz and I don't always agree, but in this case I think he makes the best case for Israel's need to defeat Hamas. Dershowitz works with facts and not myth. Narrator, on the other hand, needs to learn to pronounce words that should be learned before reading a book about Israel and the Jews, especially when there are Hebrew words so often used in English that they are part of the lexicon - no real excuse for not knowing them.

Excellent response to Hamas terror.
Professor Dershowitz, as usual, presents facts from a centrist, pro-American, pro-Israel perspective, avoiding dangerous extremist viewpoints, condemning them from whereever they originate, be they pro-Palestinian or pro-Jewish.
He articulates the horror and the hopelessness many of us have felt since October 7th. This is an important read for any American, but especially for us, American Jews as we struggle to respond to rabid antisemitism that has griped many western countries including the United States.
Many of us are struggling to articulate the terror we feel as we have watched US universities become consumed with antisemitism since the pogrom of Simchat Torah on 10/7. As we begin to move toward asking elected officials to take action against what, in many cases such as Harvard, MIT, Columbia and others, is institutionalized anti-Jewish bigotry, it’s important to get a clear idea of who and what is responsible for its spread. It’s not too late but will be difficult to make a course correction now. DEI and other racist policies are definitely going to be open to challenge in courts around the US, as certainly they are unconstitutional.
Thank you Professor Dershowitz for this timely publication.

Excellent Analysis
I have been recommending: “The War Against the Jews” to several of my friends, who have expressed resistance based upon their negative feelings towards Alan Dershowitz, arising out of his perceived support for Donald Trump.
The War Against the Jews is a brilliant exposition and analysis that has dramatically impacted, and informed my perspective. I consider it a valuable contribution, which should be widely read.
Alan Dershowitz does not try to please everyone. I have had the privilege of spending some time with him, having interviewed him before an audience at Harvard Law School, and driven him to Cape Cod from Boston. Personally, he is as subjective, and flawed as any of us.
You can like him, or dislike him, for his positions, and beliefs, as many of his friends have reportedly done. What you should not do is conflate your perception of his personal flaws with the brilliance of his work. No one cares about the personality of Jonas Salk, or Picasso’s politics. Dershowitz‘s writings, his books, his brilliant analysis, constitute an invaluable contribution to our understanding of the times in which we live.
His uncompromising commitment to intellectual honesty may offend some sensibilities. That commitment, however, means that the reader gets the benefit of the very best that this gifted intellect can provide.
His work is important, his voice is clear, and well reasoned. He provides insight into vital issues, clarifies the obscure; and dispels falsity, prejudice, and bigotry.
Dislike him, if you will. Don’t play cards with him, or take him to lunch. That, however, does not diminish the quality of his work which is vital to an objective understanding of the world in which we live.
This book is significant. It is highly readable, it is easily understood, and it will dramatically enhance your comprehension of the important issues of our time.
