About this listen
Jake Wilkerson, a disillusioned young pastor who is an expert at hiding his fears, takes on a new assignment at a small rural church in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. It's a far piece from anywhere and full of curiously odd and eccentric people, including Emma Grainger, a single woman and a veterinarian who dismisses all Christians as "those people", and Tassy, a young runaway with a secret. His first day on the job, however, Jake is adopted by Petey - a cat of unknown origins and breed but of great perception. Petey believes that he is on a mission from God to redeem Jake and bring him and his quirky friends back to the truth.

Within the chapters lies a story overflowing with deep love between Max, Flix, Howy, and their human guardians. Together, their love is the prevailing force that sees them through times of significant challenges.

Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered. Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design.

Story
Newspapers may be full of doom-and-gloom headlines, but the lucky people who live with cats get to be happy each and every day. Then again, if you live with cats you probably don’t see those terrifying headlines, anyway (because your cat won’t get off the paper long enough for you to read it), and that’s sort of the point. Cats make the very best companions for hundreds of reasons. The Book of Pawsome is a touching and raspy-tongue-in-cheek reminder that, even in a world gone mad, cat lovers always have plenty to smile about.

Story
The biggest thing to happen to Skary, Indiana, is renowned horror novelist Wolfe Boone, or "Boo" as the locals fondly call him. For the past 16 years, the reclusive writer has been the town's greatest attraction, having unintentionally turned the once struggling Skary into a thriving tourist trap for the dark side.
But when a newly reformed Wolfe suddenly quits the genre and subsequently starts to pursue Skary's favorite girl-next-door, Ainsley Parker, the little town becomes truly horrified.

Very sweet
I thought this was a really cute story. I actually liked the first book a little better, but the idea of a cat being sent by God to not only help a pastor regain his faith, but the townspeople as well. I liked the message that it gives to us. When we lose our way, and feel that we are so far from God, to remember He will never leave us. He’s willing to accept us in His arms when we confess and repent and go back to Him. When we pray, we can ask Him for help with our daily struggles.

I loved this books
This book made bust out laughing at the characters and the things they said. outrageously exaggerating what people might say from a small town or in the church. I laughed at the cat and his sarcastic thoughts.
I love the way the author brought forth the truth for each character that brought healing, grace, faith and love for each of the characters from the pastor, to the people in the church, for Emma the vet and for Tessa. it is a fun, imaginative story sometimes a little corny but ends up dealing with deep, serious matters that we all deal with or know people who have dealt with such matters. Humor, understanding and empathy. sigh. And a positive ending which leaves one with hope and satisfaction.

A sweet story with a beautiful message
At 1st I wasn't sure if I liked the narrator but his method grew on me.The townsfolk and the setting was great. A wonderful, light listen; with a solid Christian message.

Enjoyed the storytelling!
Well, I was bewildered by the religious aspect of the book but I totally didn’t mind it by the end. Although highly unrealistic, I enjoyed the story! Noah Michael Levine truly brings the characters to life, and I had such a pleasant time listening to this. Wouldn’t mind if there is/was a part two!
