About this listen

Thousands upon thousands of cats crazed with bloodlust.

A giant Doberman pinscher - the most vicious and deadly of killer dogs - lay in a bloody heap, its unseeing eyes still glazed with astonished terror.

A young dropout on an acid trip smiled at the animals that were ripping his flesh from his bones - until he realized that this was really happening.

What was left of a kindly old lady lay beside the shattered saucer of milk she had intended to put on the ground.

A powerfully built rapist in the midst of his outrage felt the claws on his back - and his lust turned to gibbering agony.

All over the vast city it was happening, and no one seemed able to stop them - the police, the army, the scientists. And cat after cat was infected by the ferocious fever that, for the first time, made them the masters of man....

The Cats

This was a good old fashioned horror novel. It was basic, with not enough science to explain the change in the cats. Narration was good, but I think should have been done by a British narrator. It lost something in the attempts at an accent.

Good book

I was surprised to learn that this was written in 1975. It reminded me a lot of the Rats by James Herbert. An English narrator would have been better! Overall a good listen.

Truly terrifying

I love grade b horror films and this would be an amazing one. It has all the classic elements of creatures, science experiments gone wrong, Government conspiracies, etc. the story is well written, the narration is very well done. Science experiment gone wrong, killer cats infected with a virus, some weird cross species transmission and plenty of gory horrible deaths. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher
