Publisher's summary

Fame, fortune and fashion: that’s aspiring model Deirdre Cash’s ideal life. But when her splashy New York career dries up, she swallows her pride and returns to Marietta, Montana, desperate for any work she can find.

Isaac Litton doesn’t want the intrusion of a home care aide for his brother, Mark. But when the young man takes a shine to DeeDee, Isaac decides to give her a chance. He can’t help but be impressed when DeeDee changes his brother’s life around, by rewarding healthy habits and exercising with treats from the Copper Mountain Chocolate Shop. Gorgeous and opinionated, DeeDee stirs everything up in the Litton household, including an attraction that Isaac can’t deny.

As DeeDee and Isaac start to fall for each other, an unexpected opportunity arises that could launch DeeDee back into the modeling scene. It’s her chance to achieve everything she’s ever wanted. But taking it would mean letting down her friends at the chocolate shop, her family who believes in her, a boy who adores her, and a man who thinks she’s already perfect, just the way she is.

Uplifting!

DeeDee is quite the character in this book and her friendship with Mark, who has Down’s Syndrome, is uplifting and his joy for life is quite entertaining. It’s obvious that DeeDee enjoys her verbal sparring with Isaac but they also have very different approaches to Mark’s challenges and I agreed with DeeDee on this one. DeeDee got a bad rap in earlier books, and yes she can be snooty at times but deep down she has a heart of gold and it shines through in this story. I wish the romance had been featured more but this book is heartwarming, witty and relevant. I listened to the audiobook and I enjoyed the narration of Felicity Munroe.

Liked it !

I liked it... a lot. At first, I wanted to be offended by the narrators voice depicting the mentally handicapped fellow. But, as the story progressed, I was impressed by the care and respect the author had shown, telling such an important, sensitive story. The love story is multidimensional, encompassing different types of forever loves. It was sweet, uplifting, and refreshing to read.

Sweet story

Enjoyed this story. My only complaint is the female lead sounded a bit too “breathy” in parts. All in all a great listen. Love a HEA without so much focus on graphic intimate scenes. Thank you!

Great Book!!

This book was such a great book that I listened to it in one day. It had me laughing out loud at different sections in the book. I’m hoping that they’re other books that leads up to this one. If so I’ll be listening to those too.

i love this series I highly recommend this series.

This series is amazing set in a small town the author brings each of the people to life adding characters in each book and then continuing to carry them forward and the next copper mountain is a town I would love to live in. The fact that she has included special needs children, and an adults and a community that helps them. It’s true to the heart. The only downfall I have with this one and the one before was the voices used way too southern and drone and whiny for the female characters. I see these characters are strong women from the west it’s Montana after all not Georgia. I hope it’s the voices change in the book in this series, and I hope the series continues I can’t wait to see about Porsha‘s baby and how she handles it the outcome between baby and of course where does DD and her sister go also exciting and more about the special needs. Maybe Marq moves on to a great life for him, the autistic children learn to cope through the health of the community things like that, a great author and a great series

The Chocolate Comeback was a surprising treat

There are so many lovely treads in this book. If you're tempted to stop listening keep going as the story develops it just keeps getting better. Kudos to author Snopek and narrator/actor Munroe

This book is about a very special kind of love!

A NYC modeling career, moving to a small town to take care of a special family member, a scrawny Kitty who just needs love and a town who takes care of each other all come together for a chocolate delight.

Love Love Love

I was surprised to learn there was only one narrator. Great job Felicity!

I loved the story (and was enthused with the portrayal of the differently abled.) I especially liked the feasibility of the story with just enough extra details to make it interesting.
