About this listen

Fake romance shouldn’t feel this real…

Will: I've never been with a man.

Sure, I've thought about it. Wondered. Daydreamed. Imagined. But I wasn't ready to take the leap.
I have a reputation as a ladies' man. No one has any idea how curious I am about men—not even my openly bi best friend. Make that former best friend. Michael ghosted me, and I have no idea why.

Michael: The man I love is straight.

It hurt like hell when I had to distance myself from Will. I’ve tried desperately to grow up and get over him, but my carefully constructed life just fell apart—and Will rushes to my rescue.

Now we’re pretending to be a couple to impress his boss at a holiday retreat. We’re holding hands and hugging.

We’re sharing a bed.

And Will just kissed me.

Is my best friend falling in love with me after all?

The Christmas Leap by Keira Andrews is a Christmas romance featuring friends to lovers, bi awakening, first times, and of course a happy ending. This standalone novel takes place in the same universe as The Christmas Deal.

Will & Michael are such likable guys, & great friends, til they aren't. Will discovers a lot more about his friend than he ever thought he would; the reverse is also true! Kiera pens such wonderful characters, putting them through interesting twists & turns on their road to happily ever after. We run into some old friends on a holiday work retreat, and shenanigans ensue. Fun is had by all. Well done yet again <3
Greg's performance is once again SPOT ON! I love Will's accent (especially when he got "really Scottish" - that was hysterical, and WELL done!) Excellent audiobook, recommended highly

This is a new author for me and I must say it was money well spent. In fact I have already added 5 more of her books to my wish list for payday.
This story was sweet and light and just full of great characters. Also in included Australia and the beach so thats a win win for me. I just loved this book.

Simply wonderful

Another great fake it until you make it. There is a bit of history between these two so it is easy for them to be comfortable with each. I also like how the other encourage them in their caper. I listened to audio version and it was a lot of fun.

A nice enjoyable Holiday listen. Low angst and HEA ending. Just what the season needs. Greg was fabulous as always!

I definitely enjoy the fake relationship trope and this was a good take on that one. It’s also a fun holiday read. Very happy with the HEA though sad to leave these characters and their story. There was also the only one bed trope which is also always a lot of fun. The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the story and characters to life.

Sweet holiday read

Opening the Christmas season reading with The Christmas Leap was *chef’s kiss.* Chalked full of your favorite tropes - fake boyfriend primarily, but with a smattering of just one bed, second chances, and friends to lovers, Kierra Andrews includes it all. Michael and his boyfriend break up just before the holidays (Michael’s favorite time of year, of course) leading to a series of events that cause Will and Michael to reconnect after two years. The characters and story have just enough angst to make it interesting but it’s definitely an easier read or listen. Greg Boudreaux does an excellent job with narration, including the female voices (namely Will’s boss who is frequently featured) and Will’s hot accent. With a surprise breakup including an epic fall with a Christmas tree and a bottle of wine, and unexpected blast from the past phone call, and just the right timing with a work gathering, this series of misadventures ultimately leads to Will and Michael’s HEA.

This can definitely be read as a stand-alone though the characters from the previous book were featured several times and now I want to read that too.

Perfect fake boyfriend Christmas story

Absolutely delightful, fun, friends to lovers/fake boyfriends holiday tale. bonus points for a very well done Scottish accent and demi-sexual rep.

I listen to this one every Nov!
