Interesting

I loved the forgotten bookshop but was disappointed in this book. Too contrived and disjointed

May have been better if read

Very good story. The narrator was somewhat monotone and the pauses or the audible build-ups were in the wrong spots and I don’t believe it did the book the justice it deserved.

The clockmakers's wife. A tale of two different times

I enjoyed The Clockmakers's Wife. it was a really good read and I enjoyed how it switched back and forth between the two time periods because you really got a feel for what it was like living in the 1940s during the war. The only dislike that I had was that it was read too slow so i did have to speed it up just a bit but other than that it was a great read.

Decent story, terrible naration.

Even listing to this book on 1.30 it was excruciatingly slow . Its a shame as story had potential.

Heroism, Front and Center

I absolutely LOVE IT when a novel draws you so far in till you identify with more then 1 character and you truly experience what the characters are going thru, whether it's happiness or sadness, This Novel is exactly that and more. An absolute MUST READ! The Narrator is astounding! This novel keeps you so interested it's hard to stop it to sleep, your Soaring THAT high on suspense and captivating plot twists. I am totally hooked, I was afraid she would get set up in a tragic way... but, you will be as surprised as I was to find out what REALLY happens at the end. I really hope the storyline with these characters happens again, but the generations involved is wonderful. This Nobel was like "You are front and center in the action"

good book, bad narrator

You can hear lip and cheek smacking from the narrator through the whole book. It is very annoying and they wouldn't return the book......so I stuck it put.
Good book.....but read it on kindle.

Predictable and boring

I read another book by Daisy, and it was very interesting. This one did not develop a characters very well, so predictable you knew the end in the very beginning. Not recommended.
