About this listen

The Commented Bible: Book 28 - Hosea, is number 28 in a series of writings on the complete writings of the Bible. This book covers the Bible book of Hosea, including every verse, with commentary, extensive cross-references, and study questions for each verse. It will serve as a learning tool and continuing study reference throughout one's life. It is a valuable reference for Christians who want to study deeply the true teachings of the Bible, which writings are the basis of all true faith. It is designed for the layman, and does not require any pre-existing knowledge of the Bible to properly understand it.

It is designed to be a simple and effective means for anyone who is wanting to know accurately what the Bible teaches to learn it. It includes much documentary and background information on Hosea’s life, and it makes clear all his teachings, by showing all pertinent cross-reference information from the rest of the Bible record. It was written to bring together Christians into a unity of thought, by bringing together all other pertinent scriptural information in one place for study and meditation. It can be listened to as a book, used as a reference tool, or as the medium for group studies and open discussions.

Expanded version of Watchtower -Very disapointed

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Keeping to the advertised subject or making disclosures commensurate with the content. In my view this is NOT an academic work.

Has The Commented Bible: Book 28 - Hosea turned you off from other books in this genre?

No. The genre is fine the book doesn't belong here and should be moved.
All monies need to be refunded.
Disclosure is missing making this deceptive and I feel scammed. Let's be serious, if I subscribe direct to Watchtower I realise what I'm buying.
This wasn't advertised as a Kingdom Hall Publication. (see objectivity comment below).

Would you be willing to try another one of Jerome Cameron Goodwin’s performances?

Absolutely not.
This advertises as being "designed to be a simple and effective means for anyone who is wanting to know accurately what the Bible teaches to learn it." But 'accuracy' is used in a subjective manner.
Beside the deceptive content the narration is atrocious. I have a speech program that is more fluid.

What character would you cut from The Commented Bible: Book 28 - Hosea?

The Author, The Orator, The title, The Description & The Recording ... yep! pretty much everything.

Any additional comments?

I'm so disappointed Audible has allowed this to enter as a serious academic work.

I expect an work espousing the viewpoint of the Anglican Church to disclose it's purpose,
I expect the same from our fiends from the Kingdom Hall.

Check my listening history. I have listened to many viewpoints Jewish, Islamic, Calvinistic, Pentecostal, Catholic, Agnostic/Atheistic, etc.
I'm not offended by the content, I'm deeply unset about the deception.
