Publisher's summary

Dr. Michael S. Heiser, a scholar-in-residence at Faithlife Corporation, presents 15 years of research on what the Bible really says about the unseen world of the supernatural unfiltered by tradition or by theological presuppositions. People shouldn't be protected from the Bible, Dr. Michael S. Heiser says, but theological systems often do just that, by explaining away difficult or troublesome passages of Scripture because their literal meaning doesn't fit into our tidy systems.

Who were the sons of God? Who were the Nephilim? Where do angels fit into the supernatural hierarchy? Why did God find it necessary to have the Israelites destroy the populations of entire cities man, woman, and child? What relation does Jesus bear to the rest of the supernatural world? Dr. Michael S. Heiser tackles these questions and many more in his books Supernatural and The Unseen Realm.

In both books, Dr. Michael S. Heiser shines a light on the supernatural world, not a new light, but rather the same light the original, ancient readers and writers of Scripture would have seen it in.

After these books, you won't be able to read the Bible in the same way again.

Supernatural, What the Bible Teaches About the Unseen World and Why It Matters presents this approach to reading and understanding scripture for the person in the pew. The Unseen Realm covers the same material but at a deeper, complex, and highly documented way, for pastors, the seminarian, or serious students of the Bible.

They'll Even Try To Fool God's Chosen One’s

It's always been my prayer that our Heavenly Father would help me to not be led astray by false doctrine. The book Supernatural by Dr. Michael Heiser I believe will offend some. I ask anyone who would feel offended to please pray and ask The Most High God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to guide you and give you wisdom to decern the things that are true.

I enjoyed this book immensely and recommend it to my fellow believers in Christ. It has opened my eyes to looking at Scriptures differently. I would like to thank our Heavenly Father for continuing to open my eyes and helping me grow as a believer.

I think if you are a believer and are reading Supernatural for the first time, it could do the same for you. That is my prayers for anyone who reads this book. In Christ’s names, Amen.

Every expectation met.

Highly recommend. Dr Heisers credentials, his life long devotion to his work and study of languages are evident. He presents the subject matter, concepts of God (that may seem odd to some believers current “Sunday School teachings” & understanding), in a manner that will appeal to life long believers as well to those who are new in faith. Thank you for this. I found it a blessing to read.

Nice Book

I was looking to learn how to access our inherent Supernatural Powers, but instead I got information on who I am in the Kingdom. This was something I am already familiar with, so didnt find much use for the info other than confirming my current beliefs.

A taste of meat

This book fills in several theological points that I have been interested in for some time. Filling in with scriptures deficets I have encountered and answering questions often avoided by individuals in positions of authority. The best part? All scripture. Make sure when you find yourself listening to this book you are prepared for the reality of scripture, it can be quite surprising if you're used to a Doctrine rather than the word of God.

Needed read for every student of the Bible.

Worth reading re-reading! So full yet not too hard to digest. Not as hard to understand as his
“The Unseen Realm.”

Heading to Eden

Heiser ooened my eyes to the Supernatural relationship I have with God through Jesus Christ and the ultimate destiny I have with him. He exposes what is going on in the unseen realm, how the Bible reports what is happening, and what it means for my identity and purpise on earth. I appreciate that Heiser devoted decades of his life to indepth Bible study and used the knowledge he gleaned to give a perspective on Scripture that puts new life in reading it. All-in-all a magnificent book.

Amazing insight about our place in God's plan and our responsibility to live out our faith every day.

Makes me read the Bible with fresh eyes, seeing the unseen realm and it's effect in Biblical history and every day life.

mind twister

I loved this NF book on the reality of supernatural beings and their role & governing in our world. It reads easily, yet is full of mind twisting concepts that when viewed with open mind explain some of the harder concepts of the Bible that normally get skipped as weird. Now explained and reasonable!
