This is great! It is 100 percent in Spanish! The stories are the perfect length for me to stay engaged. I like how they stories are broken up and some key vocabulary is introduced. Also it is great that the all the vocab has an example sentence as well. I highly recommend to intermediate learners and also advanced learners looking to boost listening skills.

This review is for the audiobook version of The Complete Spanish Master.: Discover over 680 new intermediate words and phrases. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this text. It was very conversational in tone and provided excellent, real-world vocabularly--not just what you get from Google Translate. The slang and "dichos" were spot on.

I'm a fluent Spanish-speaker and this book exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it for intermediate-to-advanced level speakers.

The narrators, Claudia R. Barret and Rebecca Maria did a fine job reading the material. I loved the European pronunciation/accent which works very well for an educational text such as this.

One of the best things about this collection is the companion PDF. The exercises are easy to follow and reinforce the text.

The chapters are well broken up making it easy to go back to any areas you want to review. Good quality recording makes it an easy listen and helps the pronunciations stand out. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, 5 hours is too long for one sitting, especially for a learning book. I prefer listening in smaller sittings to make sure I understand and retain everything.

This was a decent book for anyone who is a beginner or just brushing up on their Spanish.

The book covered reading techniques, vocabulary, and a couple of over topics.

Overall, this was a decent book that was very easy to follow.


Claudia R. Barrett and Rebecca María did well with the narration.

Short and sweet stories that are fun to mix into my longer audiobook listens and help me grow my Spanish vocabulary.

I've gained a lot of confidence and learned many new words and phrases. The only problem that I have is that occasionally they use the word they are defining to define the word. However, I'll listen again and have recommended it to others. I'm hooked.

I would give it 4.5 starts if I could.

As an intermediate Spanish speaker, I jumped at the chance to listen and review this audiobook. There are 36 different audio lessons, and the format contains a short article, some key phrases and vocabulary and comprehension questions during the first half of the audiobook.

I highly recommend this book because it does what it does very well. This really does work for intermediate students, perhaps advanced beginners as well. I have my default listening setting to play my audios faster than regular speed. Even when listening faster, everything was still easy to hear and comprehend.

The narrator of the Spanish section has a clear and non-distinct voice. She sounds professional like a news reader, but with a happy/light tone. The narrator on a book like this would make or break it, but I had no complaints at all.

My favorite part of the book was the keywords and phrases. They are Spanish defined with Spanish, and the listener is given example sentences in context. This is a HUGE thing to grow vocabulary. When I first got to intermediate level, I had difficulty with circumlocution, and now after listening to this audiobook, I feel much more confident in these topic areas.

I do recommend that the listener work through these stories at a slow and regular pace to avoid mental fatigue. When I tried listening to long sections all at once, I found that I wasn’t retaining as much as I’d hoped.

It is really thorough and excellent guide which builds upon the Spanish language in an easy to understand, and essential manner. The pdf supplements the learning experience and I felt the words stick in my mind after listening to this book.
