About this listen

Danish Red Cross nurse Nina Borg has dedicated her life to helping Copenhagen's most desperate: illegal immigrants, abused women, and others underserved by society. But Nina's do-gooder complex often takes her into dangerous situations and communities beyond the margins of the law's protection.

Danish Red Cross nurse Nina Borg, the compulsive do-gooder, has meddled in one life too many, and her good deeds are coming back to haunt her. She is attacked in a parking lot on her way home from a grocery trip, her skull cracked. As her loved ones wait for her to regain consciousness, a story unfolds about three young men in Manila and the secret one of them is desperate to hide.

Great thriller.

This is a great suspenseful book. It was a good performance, but the narrator makes up odd accents.

What was up with the Russian for Filipino accents?

Please, just do no accent instead a completely confusing and mismatched one. Otherwise good. Good story.

Silly story

Would you try another book from Lene Kaaberbol and Agnette Friis and/or Katherine Kellgren?

no

Has The Considerate Killer turned you off from other books in this genre?

no. I like other Scandinavian authors.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Katherine Kellgren?

Scott Brick

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Considerate Killer?

swimming pool/diving board scene

Any additional comments?

Silly story made sillier by narrator's attempt at tough-guy Filipinos. A little more cultural references in the Phillipines and Denmark would have helped the interest level, esp. for Americans.

Should have stopped with the trilogy!

I loved the first 3 books in this series and was very happily surprised to discover a fourth book. Now I’m very disappointed (minor spoiler alert) with the barely existent connection between the main characters I’ve enjoyed and the back and forth timeline that barely connects to them. Grasping at straws to tie the two stories together does not make a fun read. Recommend hard pass!
