The Contact by Saul Herzog is the stunning next installment in the series that has taken the publishing industry, and Hollywood rights departments, by storm. This dazzling tour de force is a full standalone novel. From the mind of one of the most creative and versatile writers working in America today, this book will surely go down as a classic of the spy thriller genre.

If you listen to only one book this year, this is it. Action, adventure, rebellion, provocative foreign agents, characters you can sink your teeth into. If you're looking for a new spy thriller series that will stay with you long after you listen, look no further.

Recommended for fans of Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne, and Brad Thor's Scot Harvath.

Story

Same as all the previous books. Half the book is a history lesson, which is interesting. The remaining book is the plot. Like always, Lance Spector is only about ten percent of the story. He is a minor character in these books. Why?

Was the second part of the last book…

I love this series, it’s so well written and narration is awesome BUT this was so short, listened to it in a night and felt ripped off afterwards. Spending a credit it on it hurt my soul alittle because it’s not a new story, it was just the end of the last book…the author is great. Can’t wait for more

Entertaining

When mental illness afflicts those in power, be wary, be knowledgeable, be warned. The destructive intent can wholly consuming & very deadly.

Riveting plot with memorable characters

I read a varied assortment of thriller/dark op type books written by great authors such as Tom Clancy, Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, Mark Greaney, Jack Slater, Jeffery Wilson/Brian Andrew’s plus many others too numerous to name. I would place this Lance Spector Series up there with Jason Bourne, Scott Harvath, Mitch Rapp, Court Gentry, Jason Trapp, and John Dempsey. If you enjoy these characters, you will be captivated by Lance Spector. I was lucky enough to stumble upon them when all 8 books were available. I’ve listened to them back to back, I was that immersed in the series! Those of us that choose to listen to books so we can multi-task, know that the wrong narrator can ruin a great book. Jay Myers did an amazing job!! Overall, I highly recommend this author, this series and this narrator! Enjoy!! RK

The contact

Why does every one smoke? All I can imagine is breathless , wrinkled and leathered old characters in just a few years from the story time.
