Publisher's summary

Judicial Watch, America's largest nonpartisan government watchdog, has investigated the Clinton, Bush, and Obama administrations. Judicial Watch is the group that helped impeach Bill Clinton and took the Bush White House secrecy all the way up to the Supreme Court. Since the beginning of the Obama administration, this grassroots group has filed over 700 open records demands and dozens of lawsuits, including a successful fight over the secret Obama White House visitor logs.

In this book, Fitton reveals what Judicial Watch has uncovered in its battles on high-profile issues, such as the bailouts, Obamacare, terrorism, the Black Panther scandal, czars, the ACORN network, illegal immigration, and stealth amnesty, the Obama White House's actions against FOX News Channel, and Obama's radical Chicago connections.

The book provides highlights of Judicial Watch's historic role in pursuing corruption and the truth during the Clinton and Bush administrations. The Corruption Chronicles comprehensively highlights how the Obama administration, which promised to be the most transparent administration in history, became the most secretive in a generation, and it exposes the inside facts that the Obama administration has desperately fought - sometimes in court - to keep from the American people.

Critic reviews

"Not one non-profit in America has done as much to advance genuine transparency and accountability in government as has Judicial Watch with its dogged use of the Freedom of Information Act and the federal courts." (Mark Tapscott, executive editor of The Washington Examiner)

freedon of information act is really a joke

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes. This book is very enlightening about our government and how corrupt it really is.This is what I would expect of a third world country . But I guess I had more faith in ours.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The way the banking bail out went. was really quit a corrupt deal. This bail out really had nothing to do with us the people. After listening to this I firmly believe that those banks that had to should have been left to file bankruptcy. The Government having control of the banks is bull. The blackmail if the banks do not go along is unbelievable. But true.

What about Jim Meskimen’s performance did you like?

He reads very well his emphasis on certain words or sentences are very good.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no. very deep had to keep playing over and over so I could absorb it all. But very good and I highly recommend everyone listen to this over and over.

Any additional comments?

only that getting information under the freedom of information act is such a joke that it almost seems worthless. They can dodge forever before they ever hand over the info and then you have to sue to get the part they deliberately leave out and it takes years to get it.

Outstanding book! Incredible research!

I am amazed about the amount of work that Judicial Watch and the author went through to put together this book. The book wasn't biased towards a party or any particular person, it was just an honest recount of the corruption an abuse of power of several past Administrations. I will keep this book as a reference. Thank you Judicial Watch for your hard work.

Confirms what I thought...

What did you love best about The Corruption Chronicles?

A much more even-handed approach than I thought the book might be. While Obama's government seems totally corrupt, the book gives a lot of insight as to how Obama simply upped the ante after Clinton and Bush started similar corrupt practices.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I don't think I could hear all of the contents at once.

Great Story of Corruption in US Politics

This is an outstanding book filled with corruption committed by politicians in the United States. The book supports information about the politician who committed the corruption and what Judicial Watch has done to bring the corruption to light using the Freedom of Information Act and lawsuits. The book is a great resource for anyone who plans to vote in United States elections.

Too outdated

I'd love to listen to an updated version of this. Unless you're still interested in Bush ,Obama, etc. I'd suggest another book.

Spends too much time on the Clintons

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book may be good for those who want to know about Judicial Watch. Also those who are interested in reliving Clinton corruption as the author spends a lot of time on it.

What could Tom Fitton have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Spend more time on the title of the book ... not recapping all government corruption since President Clinton. Also, put in the subtitle that it's a history of Judicial Watch.
