Publisher's summary

In Apple Valley, Washington, true friends are never far, neighbors can help heal the loneliest hearts - and longed-for dreams can unexpectedly become real....

Charlotte Garrison's second chance is falling into place just like she's carefully planned. A few more sales of her heavenly sweets and she'll be able to turn the empty shop on Main Street into her own bakery - a plan much more sensible than ever again risking her heart. But when a rambunctious three-year-old girl lands on town deputy Max Stanford's doorstep, Charlotte finds helping the good-looking deputy care for her is sparking the most impossible dreams....

Max has never been much for settling down. But while he finds out if little Zuzu is really his daughter, Charlotte's warmth and caring makes him want to prove he's worthy of her trust. And as they struggle to come to terms with their pasts, Max will do whatever it takes to show Charlotte home is where dreams come true - and he and Zuzu are all the love and home she'll ever need.

Left waiting for the end.

The story was good and the narrator was ok it just seemed like the story wasn't finished. It's like the end was rushed overall it was good and I'll try more of her books.

Sweet Romance!

I often enjoy Shirlee McCoy’s writing and The Cottage on the Corner doesn’t disappoint! It’s delightful to read a romance with well-developed characters and interesting storyline that is wholesome, as well.

Wow!!! Couldn't put it down-SUPERB!!!

Where does The Cottage on the Corner rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks up there with my top favorites!!!

What other book might you compare The Cottage on the Corner to and why?

I could rate this book with those of Eileen Hildebrand and Nancy Thayer. I rate them with several books they've written because it had a fabulous storyline. Shirlee had me from chapter one and I didn't want to put the book down!! Intriguing, fun, family all these authors captivate me with there stories. Passion of their work shows; I highly recommend.

Which character – as performed by Eileen Stevens – was your favorite?

Eileen Stevens did an amazing job with all the characters but she certainly did Zuzu in total perfection. My husband listened to the book with me and loved the narrator as much as I did.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Oh my I laughed out loud many times!! All the characters captured my heart!!!

Any additional comments?

I will definitely listen to this book and The House On Main Street again!! I also suggest since the above is the first book buy it!!! Both go hand in hand and both will captivate you!! It's a joy to read/listen to a story such as this-HOME it's HOME!!!

Thank you Shirlee McCoy for a fabulous book and to Eileen Stevens for capturing the voice of each character bringing a movie into my head!! You both rate well over ten stars!!!
