NATIONAL BESTSELLER

An “impossibly endearing” (Sarah Penner, New York Times bestselling author) debut novel about three clairvoyant sisters who face an unexpected twist of Fate at the bottom of their own delicate porcelain cups.

Ever since the untimely death of their parents, Anne, Beatrix, and Violet Quigley have made a business of threading together the stories that rest in the swirls of ginger, cloves, and cardamon that lie at the bottom of their customers’ cups. Their days at the teashop are filled with talk of butterflies and good fortune intertwined with the sound of cinnamon shortbread being snapped by laced fingers.

That is, until the Council of Witches comes calling with news that the city Diviner has lost her powers, and the sisters suddenly find themselves being pulled in different directions. As Anne’s magic begins to develop beyond that of her sisters’, Beatrix’s writing attracts the attention of a publisher, and Violet is enchanted by the song of the circus—and perhaps a mischievous trapeze artist threatening to sweep her off her feet—it seems a family curse that threatens to separate the sisters is taking effect.

With dwindling time to rewrite their future and help three other witches challenge their own destinies, the Quigleys set out to bargain with Fate. But in focusing so closely on saving each other, will they lose sight of themselves?©2024 Stacy Sivinski (P)2024 Simon & Schuster Audio

Beautiful writing style that was reminiscent of Jane Austen for me. Following these three sisters journey was full of ups, downs, and magic. I’ll be impatiently waiting for more from this author for sure!

Beautiful story about fate and family

It is a good cozy read for the fall while drinking tea near a fire. It isn't overly complex and easy to follow so its a good story if you are looking to decompress and not follow heavy plot lines.

audio was great, narrator was excellent, story was complete crap. The middle child gets screwed over by her siblings then gets left high and dry without even an apology.

Middle Children Shouldn't Read This Book

it's a cute story, but the most developed character is the house and there's a lot of stories kind of thrown in without answers along with a lot of things have a taste. even non-magical people can tell someone's lying based off a taste

not very well developed

Stacy Sivinski's debut novel does not disappoint. It is a charming novel about the strong bonds of three magical sisters and their beloved & very popular tea shop (on the fringe of town) that they built and expertly ran after their parent's untimely death. The house they live in is a fun character in itself. An extremely creative and charming story. Excellent prose! The author's mysterious plot weaves throughout, and it keeps Audible listeners guessing & intrigued until the very end.

One criticism, it did get a bit repetitious in parts. I found this a bit annoying. Stick with it, though. Everything was wrapped up in a nice bow and all mysteries were answered. I thought it had a great ending.

A fun read! Looking forward to the author's next book!

I enjoyed this book!

It was a great rainy day read with steady pacing and comforting characters. The sisters were charming. It would be great for Sandra Bullock to act in some day!

Cute and cozy

I really enjoyed the story, but the Audible narrator made it difficult to get into. I even considered buying the book just to finish it. Normally, I can finish an audiobook in a day, but this one took me several because the narration just didn’t connect. The reader didn’t bring the words to life or add that spark of magic. I’d suggest using the same narrator Molly Harper has for her Audible books she really makes the characters come alive. Unfortunately, this narrator just didn’t do the story justice, in my opinion.

Loved the story, not the reader.

Sweet story of family and fate. Loved the details into each character story. Cozy story with hints of Practical Magic and sisterly bonds.
