I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

I like this book overall. it started out slow and I didn't know exactly what I was getting into. I was expecting everyone to be some kind of werewolf or cryptid creature of some type. this was not at all the case and turned out to be more of a clue mixed with maze runner type book that really doesn't do it Justice it is pretty good. I do wish it went into a little more detail on the cryptids in the valley and explored a few more creatures. but the story was great and really moves along well. I really did not like the ending though you'll understand what I mean when you get there literally just the last few sentences I felt that the story could have went a different direction. the author does a pretty good job I do wish there was a little more inflection and feeling in the narration of the story but still pretty good. if you're into cryptid books mysteries and such I would definitely give it a shot.

What a wild ride!

This book was fast paced and had mystery at every turn.

Some of the characters are likable, some not. They were developed so well they seemed real.

Once again Mr. Crow is a Master Storyteller and made the book that much better!

I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, Audible, and/or publisher.

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory ...with monsters.

Another intriguing horror novel by Edward J. McFadden III.

MYSTERIOUS
This is a horror-mystery - like ‘Nine Little Cryptid Hunters’.
A mystery with sinister opponents searching in the shadowy forest - enwrapping the oddly elaborate grounds - surrounding the gothic mansion - secreted in the weirdo valley of impossibly lethal monsters.

FOLLOW Da’ YELLOW BRICK ROAD …splattered with blood.
The book’s full of pop-culture references.
Like the game “Clue”.
I found it more like the film “Charlie & the Chocolate Factory” 'cause it’s such a surreal environment full of wacky creatures & odd situations, and weird people.

To me it seemed to have awkward action scenes,
...muddled character motivations,
... unrealistic monster encounters ( I was never 100% sure if they were real, or robots, or illusions, )
...silly reveals,
...however, even with all that... it did get me to listen all the way through.

Game of Death

The Cryptic Club is an intense, intriguing book that will make you think twice about accepting invitations by strangers. The book is well written and intricate with an ending that you will not see coming. Matthew Crow did a phenomenal job narrating with voices full of emotion, fear and strength bringing each of the characters alive making the story feel real. Edward J. McFadden III I take my hat off to you this book was phenomenal.
